Could be they realized it's broken, so they need to wait until the initial update to fix it. Then they might released a video of them killing a bunch of wynavs while saying "I BET YOU GUYS DIDN'T THINK OF THIS!".

I think it's pretty obvious that they made AV unbeatable in order to preserve a feeling of challenge/something to look forward to in the game. They keep claiming he is just to keep people hooked on the idea of someday getting those items and beating that mob.

And they'll probably keep it that way until they can release another "mystery" for us to obsess about beating. Which is why I found it funny that they've avoided making AV doable until this expansion.

Tonight we fought and killed JoL and AV popped (on cerberus). Anyways, what was odd about the fight was JoL started to only smn 2 sharks at a time. Was this a glitch or have other people seen this happen? We figured since something different was happenening, that AV would spawn, and sure enough he did.

No was not holding any sharks. Foregive my n00bness here in asking this but does AV when he pops argo? JoL died i ran back to see if it was up, JoL had not faded away yet and half way thur the slimy SoB i get hit for 438 by AV and died few sec later. and yeah after he killed me he then went on and finished the rest of the ls in short order>.> weapon and mab earring droped also if wondering.

Doesn't actually aggro though, like most Aerns.

So a by-stander with 0 hate could walk up to AV after it had killed everyone and gone yellow and not get agro.
That doesn't seem very likley to me, and would not be typical of other greater NMs.
