Windows Vista POL Patch Please help :(

Hi, i just got a new computer that use windows Vista... and it obviosly dosnt run with FFXI w/o downloading the POL patch from the website, so i went and did that and now POL runs fine but it will not let me install FFXI from the discs. it says something to the effect of "Playonline is not installed please install Playonline before installing FFXI" when clearly Playonline is installed.. im guessing it just dosnt recognise it because its a Vista version of POL or something.. it is all legit tho and ive tried everything i can think of, Can anyone help me out with this?

Go to your cd/dvd drive and use the explorer function and install FFXI from there. I had to do that when I installed FFXI on my new pc with vista.
