Rams give Enpetrify I think. I think Chigoes have enplauge + enpoison.
Since i tossed my Soul Reflector by accident (AAARRRGGGHHH!) I've been taking a lot of Chigoe pics again. They have Cused and Virus attack, but I've never seen it be innate before.

    Attack Bonus
    Lizard Killer
    Fire Attack Bonus
    Str +25
    AGI +25
    Evasion Bonus
    Attack +15%
    Evasion +15%
    Accuracy +15%
    Critical Hit rate +10%

Based on the previous post here these are the plates for a rabbit, I took over 20 to start and only got lizard, fire, attack, str+25. Does anyone with rabbit experience know if there are other possible plates from bunnies, any interesting jobs from NMs, or whether any plates are more common on a certain skin? Thanks.

Ants most definitely can get auto-regen.

    http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29...ob/antlion.jpg

Thats my ant, the auto-regen is innate. Got it on my 3rd shot (I took like 48 shots and just went with the best).

My current pet is a white rabbit. It came with Damage Resistance Bonus as an innate skill.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

My crab had innate damage resistance, was pretty good. I regret not going for a 2nd innate on it but thats only because it's a real pain in the ass.

I think the RDM NM crab in Lufaise for that quest starts as rdm/war. Since most people change it to mnk anyway it works kinda nice.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Just got a PM that King Arthro stars PLD/WAR, the build I wanna try for.

I know the pain of damage resistance + 2nd ability. I spent about 7 Soultrapper 2000s in Kuftal trying for it, only to get it once for an innate. Just got back from a 6 month break, and WAR's not the invite whore it used to be. I'm going to have a lot of time to try for it. I'm curious to try that force pop crab in Kuftal. I forgot it's name. XD

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

I popped cancer in kuftal, and it's just pld/--- sadly. Only job/sj crabs would be bloddy coffin and king arthro from what i've seen, though aquarius might be pld/war? I'm not sure on that one, though I'd guess it's only pld. D: I mentioned elsewhere, I got defense bonus + auto regen off one of my KA plates... though I doubt the defense will stack up as well as pure physical damage reduction, so I'm still going out there trying to get a better one.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Levelable regen is pretty sweet. The defense isnt that great, yeah but I think both of those is worth more FP then damage resistance.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Levelable regen is easily one of the best innate traits because of how powerful it is. If you get it on a mob thats particularly evasive, or high defense, it becomes difficult to not time out alot against enemys you can't beat.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Yeah, I think the crab will fare quite well; although, I'd rather have damage reduction, I think that defense will still be a solid choice as most mobs don't seem to have a ton of attack. Right now I'm trying to figure out what plates to drop on it. xD So far I've thought about dropping a few different things on it..
( Crab: pld/war innate defense bonus + auto regen)
    Mnk/ + triple attack bonus + dispeling attack \\\\\ mnk/ + double attack + dispeling attack + instant shell \\\\\ mnk/ + mnk traits + war traits + phalanx + endispel.

    First build would probably have issues against anything with en-elemental damage, though I'd hope the others would fare better. ; ;

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Is double attack w/o mnk traits even worth it? Monk traits give it permanant double attack.

Since you have a crab stuff like shell seems kind of silly, magic isn't all that common. If you're really strapped for FP though, blink is cheap and works wonders on most monsters. But seeing as how phalanx rules for most mobs, it destroys damage done to crabs. Just make sure to have offense or you'll end up like my crab and time out each fight cause of no damage. >__>

I thought just giving it MNK main would let it attack twice ? oO; I guess I'm stupid D:

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

No need Martial Arts traits for the 2 hits. Even with h2h skill, no Martial Arts means only 1 hit per round.

Ah =o ok thank you for clearing that up :3 I guess I need to rework my ideas a bit.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

if its MNK/ even without traits it should attack twice, it will just attack so damn slow as to not be worth doing. My penguin attacked twice without traits. [note without traits you wont guard/counter either] I'll pull traits off my penguin and run him to check, since it was so long ago, then repost tonight.

    Re: The Innate Ability Thread

Not all mobs can counter. I'm pretty sure only mnk native ones can + get to double attack like you say. I've only seen natural mnks like apkallu, taurus, mandys etc counter. It might be possible they can attack twice naturally like how ghosts cast spells they naturally get. But my crab and other non-mnks I've seen only hit once w/o traits.

My Treant has countered but my Crab has not, I am unaware of a native MNK Treant though so I can't really support or deny Kunos theory.
