I'm thinking that the equivilent of a BRD instrument would be in the Feet slot...

If Dancer got Throwing WS hopefully NIN gets one too and something better than Blade: Jin. I might consider leveling throwing if they added some.

I'm betting that's some sort of Regen dance in the screenshot. Hopefully, whatever the hell SE ends up doing with it they learn from PUP and don't give some shitty C- rated main skill and get the job permanently crapped on.

Wind/Singing/String are all C, but the important thing to remember there is that when you're using an instrument you're effectively using two of them at the same time. So a BRD should never be relying solely on a C-ranked song skill. They effectively have 450+ skill, at least as far as buffing is concerned. With offensive songs I'm not sure how the game determines resists, but it's certainly comparable to an A-level magic skill on other mages.
In any case, it's a different system. You can't really compare C song related skills to C melee skills. Song stuff works differently.

Hai gaiz, I just watched the trailer at SE booth here in TGS, and what I can say is that Dancer was meleeing in the footage.

A brunette hume in red AF is seen slashing some monsters, and as she uses what looks like a WS, the mob is surrounded by a big rose and vines, and seems to takes damages. There was also a CS with her dancing in a pub.

Sounds like a Dancer/Geomancer mix sorta like Mog of FFVI.
