Helped take out 10 bil worth of caps the other night in my interceptor. Oh yeaaaa
We're going to have either the biggest super fight EVE has ever seen today or a big set of blue balls and one side smug the fuck out.
This wouldn't have anything to do with thorn would it?
I hear HED is quite populated today
I made the right choice in going to play golf this morning. Can't beat this view:

Thinking of coming back and checking out the game again (last played in 2011).
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a decent new player corporation, and maybe some guides for what I should do skill/attribute wise? Ye olde google was surprisingly little help and was mostly just "do what you want!" type crap instead of "If you want to shoot shit, put points into this, learn this, buy this".
I highly recommend EVE University. And if you want to go straight to pew pew then I also recommend Red vs Blue and joining their noobfleet's group which does weekend classes with hands-on 1v1 and small fleet exercises . RvB has a guided "sink or swim" approach on which is really the only way to learn PvP.
In the neocom, there's a new tab, ISIS (Interbus Ship Identification System). It's basically a mapping of all the normally available hulls in the game (no alliance tournament reward ships, etc.)
It's a quick way to bring up the show info panel for a ship. Which you'll want because they've revamped the certification system. On a ship's info panel, there's now a tab called Mastery. There's five levels, and each one has an increasing depth and breadth of skills needed to use that ship effectively, instead of just sitting in the hull.
(For example, the Gunnery Mastery II for ships, which is only one component of a full L2 mastery, needs Gunnery 4, and Motion Prediction, Sharpshooter, Controlled Bursts, Rapid Firing, Surgical Strike, & Trajectory Analysis to 3.)
It's only for the hulls normal, bonused roles. So not useful if you are a metagame fitting wizard, but it's pretty handy for basic use.
neocom still only or apple products?
Pretty much the only reason i used my ipad, when i have it, was for neocom.
Uhh, I mean the in game neocom, if you're responding to me.
The ISIS thing seems pretty cool. They definitely didn't have that back when I first started playing. It seems pretty simple though, with one thing just leading to another, but it seems good for a basic idea of what I need for any given ship. How is balance and such between the ships and such now? I seem to recall specific ones being great and others being crap. Provided you're fitting them right, does it matter much anymore?
I looked into the EVE University thing, and it seems well... exactly how it sounds. I dunno, something about joining an in game school that has classes that I need to attend and graduate from is kind of off-putting. I'd imagine it could still be used just for the social aspect and to ask questions, but then I check their rules and see a mountain of crap like needing to ask permission to fly certain places and whatnot.
One thing that's making it a bit hard to play atm is the fact that I'm trying to pick up and play a character with about 6m SP, which while it isn't a lot to somebody who knows what they're doing, it's a lot of random stuff to have to relearn all at once. I'm debating a new character for now just to be able to ease back into things, rather than be completely overwhelmed by it all.
First cruiser
Though I'm going to sell it soon enough (and at a profit, found the hull for a mil or two below the average price). It's just for Blood Stained Stars 46+ and some L2 missioning while I wait for cloak to be trained and a bit more skill to boost my probe strength, so I can go hunt around null for sites for income. I've got 29 days left to PLEX, and 2/3rds of the way left to go. (I do have a few planets pumping out a P3 though, so that lowers the chunk a bit)
apparently shit is getting real kotaku reporting 8 titans down and more fighting going on over some bill not paid?
22 N3 dead, 9 CFC so far.
Funny thing about this is we (BL) kind of set this up. We've been hitting Nulli space in the north for the last like 2 weeks. They always come to save stuff at the final timer. This time they brought like 50 supers and 100 carriers to "deal with us" which we proceeded to kill 2 carriers (big deal). The whole time we we're fighting up north, razor were taking the system. God I love this game.

This completely shits over ffxi drama. Oh my god.
FFXI: "That bitch, she fucking took it!"
EVE: "Looks like they didn't pay their bill. Time for universal warfare."
