NBA Live 08 or NBA 2k8

If you have played both '08 and 2k8 I dont think you would say that. Unless you are just a huge 2K fanboy.

I have not played franchise mode yet on 2k so I can't tell you which is better. But LIVE is much improved and 2k is good, it is a tough call.

That being said, more people like 2k but I like the controls (and fluidity) of LIVE so I play that more.

havent played either but working at gamestop i can tell you this from customer feedback.

people always like 2k better.

we've had numerous lives get traded in, even on the first day, just to buy the 2k because they couldnt stand playing live.

I tried live a while ago since like 2004 and 2005? Sucked major ass. You could run into ppl at certain angles, they'd fall down and u no foul. Graphics looked too cartoony for me, too. So I've stuck to 2k series ever since.


In all honesty Live could be better than before, and possibly better than 2k8, but I'm a stubborn fuck and am only gonna use my money on 1.

kinda sums it up, 2k has been proven better year and year, and people notice it. there might be a feature that you like better on live, but generally speaking 2k is the better game and any feature live might have that 2k doesnt, they usually end up bringing around the next year anyways.

If 2K8 has anything like leagues that All Pro Football does which Madden sorely lacks.. I'd definitely get 2K8.

FYI:

Most of the people that made NBA 2k were bought $$$$$$$$ (big money) by EA 2 years ago.

Having not played either of the new versions yet I cant comment on game play. However, LIVE is a completely new game in '08 I mean they tossed out all of the old code 2 years ago and completely reworked every aspect of the game.

Additionally the rumor is that Franchise mode for LIVE is possibly going to be split off into another title all together (boo typical EA).

Live 2007 was absolute garbage. Live '08 is leagues above it, though I still prefer 2k8 (which I bought!)
