While I wouldn't be shocked if they did since cruor has been nerfed for a while now they did say there was going to be fishing adjustments for this summer... so maybe they waiting on it?

I was "so sure" three updates ago. It shocked me last few updates, now it just seems clear they ard waiting for the fishing changes. Honestly it wouldn't shock me that if only reason they haven't nerfed them is because the people running 6 chars would stop paying...

I was thinking about this on the way to work today, I would not be surprised if they add a SoA fish that NPCs for more than Haks and can be caught at the same rate so all the botting mules have to spend the extra $40 or whatever per add-on.

Not sure if anyone's fished today, but anyone else notice changes with haks? LS mate was raving about how they're as hard to reel in as Mats now with a significantly increased break rate and lowered bite rate

Lol haven't bothered trying... yet... guess I could log in my last mule. But like any fisher should know... everyone says this about everything every update and need more than a couple of hours worth to get any sort of idea of bite rate

Edit: nvm seems I may have to wait to get results since um "fishing" is crashing that isntance of POL

Couple new fish that I've found so far

Western Adoulin - Adoulinian Kelp (Sabiki Rig, Minnow, Shrimp Lure)
Yahse Hunting Grounds - Senroh sardines (Sabiki Rig); Contortopus (Shrimp Lure); Contortacle (Minnow)

East Adoulin+Sabiki and Robber Rig targets Mackerels and Quus

Mackerels cannot be traded to Zaldon and NPC for 21g each
I'd imagine their fishing skill cap is somewhere in the 20s.

Nope, logged in last night and went 17 haks for 1 break in the hour and a half I was there

Yeah I wouldn't expect much from zaldon. Last several times (maybe each time I forget) they added fish to him it was in the update notes. And someone said there was no new dialogue in selbina

the rings might come from a coaliation with specific rank maybe, my bet: Inventors coalation, the missions are gathering mats, and the boosts the coalation provides are for crafters... Just my bet on it.

Question... if the rings do come from an npc wouldn't it be somewhere in the dialogue new dats and therefore findable easier?

How was the bite rate?

More things to do in FFXI = less time I am willing to invest in fucking around with minnows.

Pretty good bite rate and never broke my line. I fished up around 15 shens.
