So where exactly are you guys bazaaring? I spent over 12 hours last night bazaaring and only managed to sell 20. And that was lowering them to 40k each

Did you /seacom? I'll frequently just buy whatever it is I'm looking for at the lowest price I can find in the blue dot classifieds rather than sift through 200 bazaars, half of them gifts from their manthra 'GF's.
Yes I did. And when I started no one else had it seacomed
Seriously! I'm near the same spot. I haven't counted my casts, but I'm soon going to average ONE FISH AN HOUR. What the fuck? I'm at three caught and thirty breaks, and damn few bites in the first place. It's hard to say without an accurate parser, but I'd guess I'm somewhere around 15-20 bites of garbage per bite of Abaia.
Edit: Bitch and ye shall receive. I moved as far south as I could (circumstantial - could mean anything); caught four more before a break.
Well that's the problem with bad bite rate (or any low odds stuff). When it's good it just seems ok. When it's bad you never seem to get anything lol.
Abaia
212 casts
16 caught
158 released
14 line break
Minnows
I went back yesterday... let me check my notes..
Casts: 196
Caught: 7
Snaps: 18
So yeah... sinking may not be the way to go. I guess my first two attempts were just lucky.
Just checked the ah and found out why my fish stopped selling for 40k. They are selling for 25k. Stack of Lucky broth down to 180. Wish I knew the break down of how much you made per NQ and HQ tiers but looks like it's a T2 synth so even at 1,2,3,4 the cookers should be making out fat
I would too but haven't found a buyer since the last one got his rod. Kinda funny how that works get several all together then none for awhile
I made a mule that is parked in selbina with inventory maxed to 80/80/80 with no gear what-so-ever. I try to keep 80 lik and 80 gug on at all times, with 40 of each being bazaared for the going AH price (or never less than 20k each). It helps me inventory wise on my actual fishing characters/main character, once I have my personal quota of 160 ebisu fish on the mule I move back to haks. Considering ebisu fish are a hassle to mule/bazaar I have no desire to sell them cheap and enjoy the "break" haks offer.
Like you said though, the market is generally super hot or very cold.
Haven't been on in a while cus of school and such but finally back at it a bit during break.
Hit up some Abaia:
232 Casts
5 Caught
209 Released
10 Breaks
4 no bite
Time: 2 hours~
Forgot that I sold my puffin ring, so that might have something to do with it. Either way, this is meh at best.
Prices bottomed out around 25~27K each on my server but the competition did as well. When buyers for my liks/gugs aren't on I go catch a couple dozen of these guys and start AHing them all on my mules and main. Even when there's competition the buying rate is in big chunks so I can sell a bit over the price on AH and they'll go through.
Yeah at 25k each given the bite rate it's barely better than Hak's and the hassle/space of ahing is enough to pretty much kill it for me. Only reason I went that low on lik/gugru is because generally I caught more an hour then Hak's... and had buyers lined up lol
There is a cooking and a synergy recipe for Lucky Broth, and even having the highest tier available HQ rate on the synth recipe leaves synergy in the lead with a 6/8/10/12 yield over cooking's 4/6/8/10 (or possibly 12 on HQ3). The only problem is finding Wind Fewell if you can't make your own and the fact it takes longer. Also, factoring in Fewell costs on a consumable synth is a bit wonky to me. Even still, Synergy without HQ yields 20% more than the best chef will get with t2 HQ rate.Just checked the ah and found out why my fish stopped selling for 40k. They are selling for 25k. Stack of Lucky broth down to 180. Wish I knew the break down of how much you made per NQ and HQ tiers but looks like it's a T2 synth so even at 1,2,3,4 the cookers should be making out fat
Oh, and I'd like to retract my 'chefs rejoice' sentiment.
Ah forgot that it was synergy as well.... that and never could find distribution info. Still probably requires decent lvl cooking to attempt though right? Or think I can do it with only 60 cooking? Hmmm still doing some math it looks like cooks should average about 5.5 per synth. Which gives the current price to make a stack at 65k and sells for 160k. Yeah they should still rejoice lol.
Also as far as factoring fewell in I just chaulk it up to the cost of not failing. It always cost a little but it never cost you the big item
5.5 per synth how? That's reminiscent of what the t3 HQ rate would give you...
I got 4.7~ per synth at t2 hq rate:
Yield 4 per synth
75% of HQs are HQ1 which add on 2 extra jugs 25% of the time = .75*.25*2 = .375 extra jugs per synth
HQ2 = .1875*.25*4 = .1875
HQ3 = .0625*.25*8 = .125
.375+.1875+.125= .6875 jugs per synth from HQ, 4.6875 average yield (no breaks).
Yeah think I messed up some math somewhere... think basically added the HQ to a 100% nq rate amount lol. And now the fish is back up to 40k... so about 110k a stack to make.
Edit: no 60 is not enough skill to attempt with synergy
So lvld cooking to see how soon I could make broth with synergy. Tried at 75 and couldn't could at 80. So still need to be decent cooking... but not that high. Not sure if I should try lvling higher to do it or just lvl synergy on my mule to... or just bring my main whenever I want to do it lol
