So amazing that you're trying to give the Pats more credit then they deserve. First off it's a KNOWN fact that every game you watch is going to have bogus calls, It happens all the time.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11
Here's another fact. The Pats could NOT stop Addai. He made their entire defense look 20 years older then what they actually were. It also shows people that the Pats are not the super fucking juggernauts that they we were made to believe.
It shows that any team that makes mistakes can look bad. Brady threw two picks, both of which led to scores. Addai ran all over them. The Colts just simply didn't make all the plays needed to win the game. I don't want to hear "It was the officiating crew's fault" or any of that bullshit. Bad calls are bad calls. They happen everywhere. What matters is the Pats buckled down when it mattered most and the Colts couldn't stop Welker/Moss when it mattered.
What I said earlier about Gonzy I still find true. Granted he hasn't been too active, but the fact was, the Colts had three people to catch the ball at best. Wayne, Addai, and Clark, and Clark was a non-factor pretty much the entire game. (Except for that one first down he got.) If Gonzy was there, I'm sure he'd have been much more active than previous games. If they had another decent WR, then they wouldn't have the other team's defenders focussing on Addai, Wayne, and Clark, and you'd be able to spread them out. If Harrison was playing, it'd be a completely different game entirely, but he's injured and not much you can do. Shit happens.
I'm not trying to defend the Colts in any way and say "If this happened, Colts would've rolled, etc" or anything. I'm just stating facts. The Pats are vulnerable to a real running game like Addai, and executing properly can even get results against the dominant Patriots. The Patriots earned the win and the Colts let it slip through their grasp. It was a tough game and the better team won.
I'm sure Around the Horn will ask "Did the Pats win the game or did the Colts lose it?" and I'd answer the Pats won it, because they really did. Their defense came up big when it mattered and stopped the Colts when they had to. Hats off to ya.
The real question is - can Green Bay survive:
Sun 11/11 Minnesota 1:00 pm
Sun 11/18 Carolina 1:00 pm
Thu 11/22 at Detroit 12:30 pm eep!
and can Dallas survive:
Sun 11/11 at NY Giants 4:15 pm eep!
Sun 11/18 Washington 4:15 pm
Thu 11/22 NY Jets 4:15 pm
to setup the battle of the 10-1 NFC teams on Thanksgiving?
The last game im worried about is the upcoming giants game.. if the cowboys win that, I'm very confident in a 15-1 record to end the season. I'm also interested in the upcoming Giants/Pats game later this year 8) .
Bold statement my friend. Bold.Originally Posted by Duwie

The fact that you put "eep!" by the Green Bay @ Detroit game still makes me lol. Not that I'm saying you're wrong... which is scary, because you aren't. The Lions are actually... good and that's what is so funny. It's like hell froze over or something. I think they can survive the Panthers game definitely, and the Vikings if they stop Adrian Peterson. (If that's possible.)Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
As far as Dallas.. saying 15-1 is possible if they win the Giants game is indeed a bold statement. I still think they could be surprised like the Bills, except the opposing team will finish the job. I think if they played the Bills again and had six turnovers like they did before, they'd lose. Either way, I see 13-3/14-2 more possible.
I had to "eep!" at something!Originally Posted by Akiyama
No, I don't believe the Lions are for real. Yes, I'm ignoring all contradictory evidence. Yes, I look at them in the schedule and say "that's a W" like I do when I see the Raiders and Rams games we have coming up.
But still...eep!
Detroit scares me. I don't know if the Packers can pull together a win on that one...Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
