"Wings of the Goddess" Version Update (Nov. 5)

On Nov. 20, 2007, the FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will be shipped.

Due to the number of new features included in this expansion, an update of the game will be required for all players (even those who have not installed the expansion). This preparatory version update for the FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will be performed on Nov. 5th, 2007.

FINAL FANTASY XI gameplay will not be interrupted during this update as there will be no server maintenance conducted at this time.

Also, another additional preparatory version update is scheduled to be performed on Nov. 12, 2007. Details on this version update will be announced in the "Information" section.

They have done this for every expansion. There might have been maintenance for the others though.

I reckon he's talking about the changes to the region map that made it so you could see what comes up when you do /bmap, even though we couldn't get over there yet.
