ok wtf, I can't seem to get the sit-up part at all. Do you blow the whistle when all three are done with the sit-ups or what?

Pretty much
Choose the slowest one, and base your timing on his.
Keep in mind the slowest one varies with each cycle.
You mean as soon as the slowest one is done blow the whistle? What the hell, I did that and still failed.
Practice on Abequah until you do it 10/10. Then take what you did, and apply that to the slowest person per situp in the real test. For me the rhythm I found that worked was to wait until the animation completed, utter the word "one" aloud, then hit enter, but whatever works for you.Originally Posted by Marcicus
Also, a lot of my friends who failed this did so because they had game sounds turned off. Keep sounds on if you aren't already, so you can hear the different whistles that indicate success/failure.
What whistle sound? My volume is up to the max and I don't hear shit.
The other "trick" you need to beat this is to turn off ALL of the bonus animations and effects. If you have animations cranked up, the sit-up guys fidget constantly and it's nearly impossible to tell when to whistle. Once you turn 'em all off, it's really easy to tell. It can help to turn off ALL chat, too. A lot of spam during this can alter the timing on your client (ffxi client has horribly inefficient display for text).
Actually, saying "one" after the sit-ups and blowing the whistle worked well. Now I'm Sergeant Major. :D Thanks.
