FFXI Map dat files

How do i take a jpg and make it into a dat file that will work as my map?

ex take and resize this img to make it bigger. Then take it and replace the corresponding map in the ffxi dat files.

Well first of all making it bigger won't do anything because the actual map textures are about that size or smaller.

You need Changetex, PolUtils and a means of editing .dds files.
