Platform Registration Codes and Unregistering...

So, I had an idea.

I've been hearing from people that you can use the registration code from a PS2 or X-Box 360 verson of the expansion to register a PC verson of the game. However, I don't want to end up with two versons of the same game, much less a verson on a platform that I can't use.

What are the odds I can buy a PS2/X-Box 360 verson of the game, use the code, play until my PC verson arrives, unregister the code from the PS2/X-Box 360, register with the PC code, and return the PS2/X-Box 360 expansion?

Any thoughts on if this would work? Otherwise I won't get my copy until... two weeks from now.

Eh, screw it. It's too late to go out tonight anyway, and tomorow everything is closed. I'll just hope one of the stores around me gets one in Friday. =(

Once you use a registration code it pretty much just becomes useless, there is no unregistering it.

My advice is Just to download the US torrent when it comes out and put it on a CD and save it with your ps2 / 360 version, I had to buy the ps2 version for my ps3 anyways so it works out either way for me.

You can't unregister keys. At all.

See, the thing is, I don't have a PS2 or an X-Box 360, so buying a game for one would be silly at this point. And the fact that I'm getting the game in the mail in about 2 weeks... sadly it seems most stores won't allow me to return a different platform than the one I bought.

Oh well.
