Is anyone as excited for this as I am? Easily my favorite Final Fantasy story, probably because it was the first RPG I ever completed without my father's help.

I wasn't the biggest fan of FFIII to begin with, and the DS remake didn't really change that, but in my opinion the FFIV remake is looking like it will be something pretty epic.

Looks pretty good. Only thing that I don't like about it is that the characters have like weird body's. I don't know how to explain it, it's just like too polygonal or something like that.

There's voice acting in the other trailers. They're all in Japanese of course, but presumably it would be translated if the game were brought to the US.

@other people: Undubbing games isn't impossible, although SE games usually have some sort of protection.. we'll see.

I'm fully aware that this is a full 3D remake. How could I not be, considering that I'm the one who pointed out that there's voice acting in the trailer? I'd just very much prefer to get a port or remake of a game that I can't already go into a store and buy on two or three different systems, as is the case with FF 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6.

A complete remake isn't a port. All we've gotten for FF5 and FF6 so far have been ports, with minor bonuses.

I'm fully aware that this is a full 3D remake. How could I not be, considering that I'm the one who pointed out that there's voice acting in the trailer? And I'd prefer to get a port or import of a game that I can't already go into an emulation site and download on two or three different systems in a language I can read. Bahamut Lagoon, any pre-PS2 Megami Tensei, most of SaGa (not counting fan translations just because the list is longer that way).

Ontopic, FFIV is awesome and deserves to get revisited.

You do realize that they will be remaking FF5 and 6 after this too right? They're doing the same stuff they did with the GBA ports, only this time they're doing complete remakes (which is fucking awesome, btw..)

The HQ cutscenes are awesome, can't wait to play this even if it's in japanese.
