Scholar and Dancer category 1 Merit Speculation

Oh yes, time for some baseless speculation. We've learned a lot about these jobs as people are very close(if not already) at 75. Anyway, remember this is Category 1, so no new spells or abilities.

For Scholar I expect something like:

Black Grimoire Skill+ (2 or 3 points per merit)
White Grimoire Skill+ (2 or 3 points per merit)
Modus Veritas Recast
-Storm spell potency increase (2% per merit)

Dancer I have no idea, I haven't really been following the job. Probably lower recast on each category and/or potency/accuracy increase for waltzes and steps.

Potency of Wind weather effect increase by 1%.
Potency of Water weather effect increase by 1%.
Potency of Thunder weather effect increase by 1%.
Potency of Ice weather effect increase by 1%.
Potency of Fire weather effect increase by 1%.

Group 2 Dancer merits!

Dunno, maybe Merited Regain(Limited), Each additional upgrade adds 20% to the amount you Auto-Regain up too, so 20/40/60%.

Conserve TP (think Conserve MP, but for TP, randomly fires off, you expect to spend 35 TP and only use 27, yay!) Each merit adds X% of it firing.

One of those of 15>12.5>10 Minute timer meritable ability to give 60-100 Tp, Meditate with a retardedly long wait.

Another 15>12.5>10 Minute timer ability, maybe one that makes your next WS/Dance not use TP.

i actually think the AF3 piece of sch af will have "Enhances Arts" which turns light/dark arts into A skill instead of B.

I was betting on SCH artifact gear giving the "Enhances Arts" thing that would make it A-/E instead of B/D and an "occassionally enhances weather effects" that makes you get double weather sometimes...assuming double weather does more than single for SCH.

Besides that I basically agree with the idle speculation other people already posted.

If DNC gets +potency to their steps, they'll be amazing for HNM's.

I'm expecting SCH AF to have some form of "Enhances Arts", though really I was thinking AF would be Light Arts and they'd release a way to get AF2 for the 5 new jobs and SCH AF2 would enhance dark arts. However even if this is the case, I expect to see a skill increase in merits.

What I'd be interested in seeing happen with SCH Group 2: RDM studies, DRK studies, BLM studies, etc. And you basically learn job-specific spells from your studies. I don't know SCH full spell list but say group 1 of RDM studies would give gravity and fast cast trait, group 2 would give haste and another enfeeble, group 3 could give refresh. SCH wouldn't get everything rdm specific (I wouldn't give them convert nor more than one fast cast) but you could merit SCH to be a healthy mix of WHM and RDM, or of BLM and RDM. I don't see jobs getting too emo over this as a SCH needs to go through lots of grinding to just get there.

I can see a DNC group 2 merit having something to do with Healing Waltz removing more than one effect, or more than current effects. Whether it's group 1 or 2 would deal with how it's done I think. If you just give it a "chance" to do those things, it would be group 1, if a JA forces it to work, it'd be group 2. Though I can see a group 2 DNC being a TP samba, in that it will drain tp from the target mob.

I'm guessing "Enhances Step Accuracy" will probably be an effect of their AF (hopefully AF body)
