New March tier with elitest gear?

So supposedly theres another march tier with 553 combined skill

if you do

450 + 10 (af+1 hands)+ 8(af +1 legs) + 6( Demon head +1) +6 (x2 HQ rings) +5 (Musical earing) + 16 x2 (Merits in singing + wind) + 5 (astute cape) +20 gjallhorn +3 (wind earing) + 7 (wind torque) +3 (minstrels coat) thats 555 skill combined with singing and wind.


friend said they say 553 is the next march tier at this website

This sounds interesting anyone with the above gear/ merits and know how to confirm march tiers able to?

edit: also chanter's staff givies +4 singing skill.
edit#2: Website says 533 but must be typo because 553 makes more sense. maths people can work this out i think

well 553 could be another change, but my test was eyeball only on a 1 minute recast where 546 changed from 53->52, another 1% would still be at 52, i guess i could test using haste gear in a sec

actually i dunno how to test, those fractions aren't anywhere near 1%, its like 0.2%, i only know at 546 recast changes, if someone knows how i can test 0.2% lemme know

Seems more like 60/512 at 546, and 61/512 at 553.

Hint: 60/512 -> 61/512 is not 1%.

I just ran a quick test, and it does appear that higher wind skill gives you a higher haste %. I used 527 in skill gear and got 59/512, so my tests don't match up exactly with those listed above... but it shows for certain that /w capped sing/wind skill at 75, Victory March is not capped. Assuming 61/512 for 533 skill gear, and the 56/512 that we know for a normal BRD, you're gaining about 5/512 or 1%ish extra haste.

i don't run anything that could somehow tell me its 59-60-61/512

all i can test is 546 is equivalent to 12% haste on gear and 553 is equivalent to 13% on gear, whether thats caused by rounding or cumlative effects i dunno

What other gear are you using? Have you done the test nekkid?

It would be quite hard to do this "nekkid" with the amount of gear needed to pull this off.

Sorry I should have been more clear, I was refering to the fact if he had any haste gear on.

If that is right, it means that going from 487 skill to 553 skill will increase haste by slightly less than 1%... 10.93% > 11.91%
Not much gain for so much effort

Also, the "tiers" seem pretty random in interval, I doubt it's very exact... 8 > 6 > 9 > 8 > 6..

Almost definitely caused by rounding on the gear, since most haste gear gives slightly less haste than what it says it gives.. losing 1% over a few pieces is about right.

Whenever I can log on, I'll test this out. My current skill set is 271+271, including Gjallarhorn and full Singing + Wind merits.

Most of the stuff I need is buyable... sans uh.. marduk head which can replaced with demon +1 I think, and minstrel's coat. >.>
