I'm pretty sure they have muscle, but they aren't "ARGH MOAR ROIDS". The Dragonball and Z characters are hardly well drawn or lifelike. I'd be more upset that he isn't riding on his nimbus, isn't wearing his gi, or Nyoi-bo.

I'm sure the movie will be terrible enough that you don't need hit it with unrealistic ideas on how the animation->live-action transfer should look.

Seeing this new movie Jumper, or whatever it's called, reminded me of Dragonball Z. So with the way CG is looking these days it might not be impossible to have a decent fight scene going on in the martial-arts tournament.

thats true Kiro, and like what Xavier has mentioned on numerous occasions the fight scene at the end of Matrix Revolutions is also an indicator of whats possible.

If you go into this movie expecting the absolute worst movie ever, you may be moderately pleased afterwards.

Hopefully it will be like Rocky Balboa, where you expect it to be nothing short of utter shit but it actually turns out to be a pretty good movie.

I'm not worried about fight scenes, it's the character that worry me. Could you imagine Bugs Bunny or Optimus played by a real human? Of course not, they are not human, they just have a humanoid shape. It's the same with Sangoku to a lesser extent. The hair, the eyes, the facial expressions, they can't be replicated no actor could ever do justice to character like that.
I've no issue with adaptation like Resident Evil, Silent Hill or Death Notes, even if they might suck, but something like Dragonball just can't work [unless it has nothing to do with original content other than the names and a few element).

The other problem is the story. You know it will suck because there is no "1h30" part you can take out of context and adapt it to a movie.

Villains such as Piccolo? guess this is going to be based on Dragonball and not DBZ.

and why would the director of Final Destination be doing this? Its not even the same type of movie.

God I hope they dont do what they did with transformers and make the main focus of the movie a guy trying to pick up a chick >.> Which if its based off of dragonball its seems more and more going in the direction of less action, and more um yeah....

and I really hope they dont do the whole, its trendy now so lets stick it in the movie to appeal to the masses thing. they've done it in alot of movies as of late, and it really pisses me off lol. Its a movie based on DB, keep it in the DB world, not mixing RL with the DB world.
