Nope, but I think that people are too easily offended.
I'd like to hear the viewpoints of Atheist and non-Christians, mostly because some people take great offense to it as they see it as Christians shoving their beliefs down others throats.
Oh god, someone said Merry Christmas to me, they're imposing their oppressive belief system on me and there's no possible way for me to avoid it because the mere mention of a faith-based holiday somehow crushes my will to live as an autonomous, free-thinking individu-- yeah no.
Itd be incredibley stupid for an athiest/non-christian to get offended since most athiest/non-christians actually do celebrate the holiday.
I usually wish people a happy Christmas, but when I worked retail I would usually just say 'happy holidays' unless I got a Christmas-specific well-wishing from a customer first.
I think no matter where you go or what you do you're probably going to offend someone because they're easily offended. It sucks, but I never realized what a bunch of fucking crybabies and whiners the United States has become.
No, and it shouldnt offend anyone. It's really stupid that some people are forced to say 'happy holidays' instead of Christmas.
I know an athiest and a jew, and they dont care. Sadly the term Christmas has become so dumbed down, most people dont even know what it means and just associate it with a few days off of school/work and presents. So really if anything, religious people should be getting more upset compared to non religious for everyone bastardizing Christmas, because non religious people just use it as a seasonal term for relaxing days + presents.
Its a good thing you removed the offensive word :wink:Originally Posted by Elesirdur

I fucking hate people celebrating a different holiday than I do.
Speaking of Canada, I live in Buffalo so I'm about 10 minutes away from the Canadian border for Ontario. I played curling for the first time the other night in Niagara Falls, CA. That shit is fun.Originally Posted by Elesirdur

Merry Christmas everybody :D
Honestly, curling is pretty damn fun. I like any 'sport' where the venue has a bar intended to be used while playing, not just after.Originally Posted by Norelco
Atheist, don't care. Christmas has so little to do with Jesus anymore it's hard to even consider it religious.

No I dont give a shit. Then again I am Buddhist and I could celebrate Kwanzaa if I wanted to.
It shouldn't offend anyone.
Christmas is really just a commercial holiday now lol.
