    Shoes

I got some money for Christmas and so I was wanting to put it to a new pair of nice shoes. I'm looking for something I can wear to work (I wear a nice dress shirt tucked in and black slacks) and something I can wear with a nice pair of jeans when I'm wanting to be more casual, but still a bit dressed up.

So, do any of you guys know of any brand of shoe that I should look into? I'm willing to spend around $150, but for that price I want something that will last me a few years of pretty much every day use.

Personally I wouldn't wear any of these. I get by at work with the basic beige work boots with the black trim stuff, or a pair of all black Vans, or a pair of classic converse. So, meh. I don't own any dress shoes.

Dress Shirt + Black Slacks = Black Boots. (Which always look great with jeans!)

Here is the link to Kenneth Cole's casual footwear for men. (Don't let the "casual" fool you. They're still dressy.)Everything seems in your price range. =]

    http://www.kennethcole.com/scripts/shop ... ewall=true

If you don't see anything you like at Kenneth Cole, you can check out Nordstrom:

    http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/2372807/0~2 ... bo=2376778

I'd view the Casual and Dress sections first. They have shoes in every price range ($90 - $600).

dont get your hopes up about finding a shoe that will last a couple years of everyday use. if you only wear them to work you would be fine, but if you are going out to bars, or clubs, parties in them eventually you are gonna wear a them out and scuff them up too much for them to look good with slacks.

what you might want to consider doing is just get two pairs, maybe a lesser quality but still nice looking pair for work for like 50 bucks, and spend the other hundred on some classy ones for your nights out on the town. or vice versa

    Re: Shoes

find some kenneth coles at a boxing day sale, theyre pretty middle of the road without crazy upturned elf shoe toes or alligator skin, and they dont look like 40 dollar knockoffs either

if u want casual stuff that can pass for work/club wear try some of the nicer timberlands, Kani (if you can pull that off, the brothers know what im talking about), hmm actually black Blundstones could totally work, if u have The Australian Boot Company in your city

i wore dark brown ones for security for like a year while i was still contract, like 1 person saw/mentioned they werent black

    I strongly strongly suggest these

I payed about $110 for a pair in brown, but they do have black.. It feels like im fucking walking on the backs of 2 elks. Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Edit: I wear them to work with some khaki's and they look fine with jeans. They are also super light.

The only thing I can think of relating to shoes is the 4chan thread where someone was bragging about paying $1400 or something crazy for the ugliest pairs of puke green nikes I've ever seen.

    Re: Shoes

Journeys has really nice Asics which are very comfortable and come in great color schemes. Also the "Tiger" line of Asics they have are really great too. Also very inexpensive, $60-65 for any of the schemes for the most part.

depends. if they're supposed to be dressy then ya, that holds true. my asics tigers are going on year 3 now and they're still the most comfortable shoes I've owned (and holding up extremely well for everday use).

Sexy sexy shoes. However, these are not to be worn to work! Unless you're allowed to dress casually.

Buy a nice pair of Jordans. Mine have lasted me for years and they still look great, go with black though.

Yes, I agree, totally love mine .

I also have a black pair with a white asics swoosh, and hints of gold in it, looks really awesome.
