Sea is considered an event is it not? And the only question I really have now is if it has any sort of movement enhancement at all, because I saw that thread a little bit down where it basically answered both >_< but they were a bit vague so I don't know if they meant you can probably outrun it without movement speed +, or if you surely can keep ahead of it.Originally Posted by rydiu sucks

For the movement speed, I'm not certain even after trioing it multiple time. I would say normal speed with almost perfect pathing due to small size. It's really hard to distance it compared to other mobs when you are running around the square (unless he stops to reflect spell), but he wont catch up on you if you dont fail at cutting corner.
Hmm..well basically I need to make sure I'm gonna be able to outrun him indefinitely with no movement speed+. This is only after seperating him from the ghrahs, which I will have w.legs for. (Don't ask)
you won't be able to outrun him w/o movement speed and even with movement speed it's not easy. He doesn't run at enhanced speed but he never stops unless casted on, which you stop to do and he gains on you anyways and he has perfect pathing. Also, his reflect is instant so no time to run away during casting.Originally Posted by Waef
I've done it with me on blm/nin without gaiters and a rdm/nin with W.pants. Basically, I nuked and ran until rdm get hate. Rdm used a few enfeebling to get some permanant hate (they dont land, but they still slowed it down and helped me kite), and nuked a bit (he was resisted more often than not since he didnt have his elemental gears, but I'm certain a rdm could nuke it with decent resist).Originally Posted by Waef
Anyone with movement+ gears shouldnt have any problem staying in safe range. You basically just need 1 person who can grab hate reliably to hold it while other people rest mp. Since you said you had w.legs, you should be fine if you play carefuly. If no one had movement+ gears, I would bring 4 people to trade hate and slow him down with spell spams.
Just one last thing, don't forget nin sub for everyone (rdm and blm). Subbing anything else would be stupid.
I remember seeing a topic a few months back about low manning JoFort. The title was something like duoing fortitude or something. Theres a few pages of good information there if you can dig it up.
Hmm, well my main question is, it it possible to have him chase you around for about an hour with no movement speed+? Or will he catch up to you due to perfect pathing? (Assuming you're in a square tower thing and start the run with some distance already gained.)
Sorry, I did see that thread, although even after reading it I was still unsure about exactly how fast it runs because some people were saying you can outrun it without movement and some were saying you might die a bit. Basically it seemed a little vague is all.
Although I do apologize for the HP question, as it was CLEARLY stated in that thread. >_<
