Installing XI on PS3(CoP Specifically)

For some reason I can't get CoP to load on my 60gig PS3. I've got everything else installed fine but when I load up CoP it just sits on the install screen with the Amano art, it doesn't even pop up with "Install, View Intro, Options" like it's supposed to. According to Sony's site it's compatible with the PS3 now but I've tried resetting my console a few times and still no dice.

Just when I thought I'd be able to play XI on all 3 platforms again Sony screws me again haha.

I used ToAU to install POL and then the Vanadiel08 disc for the games.

About 10m after logging in I decided that PC was about 10 billion times better.

Oh I don't plan on PLAYING on PS3, I just want to have the option available to me, same thing with my 360 version.

Looks like I'll have to snag a copy of Vana 08 then since my CoP won't work at all. :/

I installed with the CoP PS2 disc on PS3 and didn't have any trouble, this was about 3 weeks ago.

Sorry thats not much help, just saying it isn't a general problem.

Maybe your disc is scratched or something. I have a PS3 as well and installed FFXI and all the expansions on it without any problems.

Well damn, the disc LOOKS fine but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not scratched or has a ding somewhere. :/

I got everything else updated(sans CoP) and was messing around with it. I forgot how AWFUL the graphics looked on it and I was surprised at how laggy it was doing a Campaign battle.

EDIT: Got the Vana'08 disc and everything installed fine. I wonder how my CoP disc got jacked up. O_o
