Yes.
Yes.
Well if you're willing to camp White/Black Coney, you may as well just camp Eastern Shadow.
Staying on ebow/sbow question:
For situation where you would use Sidewinder only and not fire a single normal arrow (like opo necklace > side > iwing > side > shikikoyo > side > beat a taru to the ground to steal his tp > side), wich bow would be the best ? Expecting "Ebow onry u ass" answers, but i'm not good at understanding damage formula when not explained by someone who knows what he's talking about; so really wondering why the 1 base damage more on Sbow would pull less damage on WS than 1STR -2to+18Ratt of Ebow ?
I dont mind of DoT, just of sidewinder. And well, lets say barrage/EES too, to make the question a bit more interesting. At the Holy Arrow of Doom in face, who wins ?
(You can add some others usually not used bows in conversation if you think they are better in this situation~)
Is the right answer in any case and situation. S bow is good for a free bow, but E bow is better overall.Originally Posted by Jaybar

I'd macro in AF for BP because the accuracy is nice. However if you have merits in acc I'd prolly wear the Goliard. Never noticed what a nice set of stats they have on them, I'd prolly wear them full time but I have relic hands and feet and af+1 feet to cover most bases.
I think the stats on the goliard are nice actually and the -EMN is pretty hot.
If you're carrying your AF for the feet anyway, then I'd at least macro in the pants for BP but I don't think it would kill ya to go Goliard full time.
And for BLM? Yigit.
I'd put at least 4 in Enfeebling. In fact I'd be kinda tempted to do that first to make grav/sleep landing a better thing. Then elemental magic, then some in ic and thunder potency.Originally Posted by Naramaska

abyss flanchard or black cuisses for absorb-tp?
flanchard
A friend and I would kill them with NIN, BRD and a two box'd WHM. We could only kill the lower tier ones, but it wasn't even remotely difficult. Our NIN just wore full DD stuff and the mobs would die in 10min or so, with roughly a 50% drop rate.Originally Posted by Ryushii
Done it WHM BRD MNK/NIN PLD/WHM. I (the PLD/WHM) was unnecessary, as the WHM and MNK had done it before trio (WHM dualboxed the BRD).Originally Posted by Ryushii
Didn't see it in the search.. sorry if it has been answered before.
It is my understanding that, when dealing with resist setups, there are tiers. So say you get 100 fire. Nothing between 101 and 147 will make a difference, wasting those slots, but if you get 148 then you reach the next tier. Now those are just random numbers used for the example.
My question I guess is, what is believed to be those tiers? And I assume each mob has a different tier layout, so is there a list for some?
I am currently making a barfira setup, but on a tight budget, so I want to know if I can ditch some vs.fire in favor of MDB, -% Magic Damage and HP gear if there are vs.fire pieces that aren't helping. Although +HP wouldn't really help me if I'm not in this gear all the time.
My planned gear for reference (I tried to use Rukenshin's LJ entry as a base, but most of those things are out of my price range):
Main: Water Staff
Grip: Raptor Leather Strap +1
Ranged: Lamia Kaman
Head: Green Ribbon
Neck: Buburimu Gorget (if the NM ever drops)
Ears: Coral Earrings
Body: Bastokan Harness
Hands: Raptor Gloves
Ring1: Coral
Ring2: Malflame Ring
Back: Lamia Mantle/+1 (Resentment Cape NM where are you)
Waist: Water Belt/Survival Belt (Might have tossed Water Belt long time ago ; ; )
Legs: Raptor Trousers
Feet: Power Sandals
+59 fire, not counting waist
+15 HP, not counting waist
+4/5 MDB
-5% magic damage
+6 MND
Thanks in advance.
Black Cuisses vs. Ares's Flanchard for Spinning Slash on DRK/SAM.
STR +4, Attack +16 vs. STR +6, DEX +6, Double Attack +2%.
I'm thinking Cuisses, but I dunno.

Any merit to Askar Manopolas versus Dusk Gloves for building TP on WAR?
Not sure but in my experience Fire Resist only really helps in large quantities. Only experience I have with it is on Tiamat and with no Fire Gear I see my Co-Tanks taking like 300dmg, watched some other people tanking in shitty Fire kits and took like 200dmg. My Fire kit with barfira/carol/shell5 puts me over 300 Resist(150 or so in gear) and I take 30dmg w/o phal2(like 10dmg with phal2). I guess it shows even if you have some Fire it helps but for it to really work you need a ton of it. My kit is pretty much everything I can get for PLD, minus some HQs and AssaultBP. Not much help with what you asked lol but yea.. I would go for +Fire over +MDB or MgcDmg- gears.Originally Posted by Mosh
