Couldn't find a recent TF2 thread so...
A few weeks ago valve let on that coming along with the new medic achievements there was going to be a "large-scale modification" in tow as well in the coming update. Apparently that's a bit of an understatement.

Starting with the medic and eventually (lol valve is slow) making their way to the other classes are new unlockable weapons. The current intent for the medic's new weapon is to be a medigun that doesn't just boost a teammate's HP by 50% for a short time before wearing off, but instead permanently double their health at the cost of nerfed ubercharge gain rate (they're considering making it so the gun can't uber at all). The other medic weapon wasn't revealed yet, but both weapons are going to require completing achievements.
Also in the works are a new game mode concentrated on escorting an object from point A to B by getting close to it. The more Blue near the object, the faster it goes, but completely stops when a Red gets in range.
Is this awesome y/n? Like I needed more reason to play TF2.
