Quick question about paying for ffxi

a friend of mine cant get a bank debit card (something about owing a previous bank alot of money, cant open account at different bank) and was wondering if the visa gift cards would work. I don't know if they work and search didn't bring anything up.

I'm pretty sure prepaid cards work, as long as they're visa/mastercard but don't hold me to it

i would say you could pay for him on your card and have him give you the cash, but hearing he owes a lot of money to banks, maybe not

Gotta pay like $4 to activate each one so try to get them in decently large amounts so you're not always putting money on them.

Only thing is sometimes when they ask you for your billing information, gift cards wont have your specific name/address linked to them and it will get denied. When I was paying for my xbox live acct, I had to call the gift card company and they put my name and address onto the card so I could use it for online purchases.

Depends on the gift card. My accounts are currently operating from a Wal-Mart gift card. My original account was being paid via a reloadable MasterCard, so yeah, if it has the appropriate logo, its likely going to work.... Just head out to Wal-Mart, those work just fine.
