There's no way the Marines are going to side with Doflamingo, even against Luffy and co.

They're headed by an Admiral who literally said he was going to kill Doflamingo after the current ruckus died down.
Doflamingo has cut off all communications the Marines had with the outside world.
Doflamingo is making Marines attack each other.
The Admiral in charge has a very strong sense of personal justice, so it's likely he'd side with pirates who are trying to overthrow a tyrant, even if only temporarily.

Furthermore we are talking about a character introduced over ten years ago. You should see the state of amateur translation back then. Some of the names are hilariously mistranslated.

He stopped going by Aokiji after he left the Marines and went back to his real name.

So this happened in today's episode

Anime is just starting to get to the part of this arc when shit starts to get really fantastic. Luffy just tamed the bull, meaning next episode he should be 1HKO'ing the giant. Fujitora dropped a meteorite (animated fantastically too, albeit, not as trollrific as Madara). And all the pieces are starting to get together for taking down Mingo.

Also, found this on Reddit, which if you watch the episode and the bit where the dwarves are talking about how fighting fish are related to goldfish, makes me think of both Oda and the anime crew as fucking godly with story consistency:

That's from one of the earliest chapters of the fucking manga. Like, easily the first 20 or so chapters, and it's still being connected to what's happening years and years and hundreds of chapters later. Not to mention the tie-in with Noland which we all knew about when the chapter came out so long ago
