I was going to ask about the 'awakening'. I haven't really been reading the chapters the past year... Am I understanding the awakening ability correctly? Luffy could turn a wall rubber, or other objects (i.e. person's weapon, body part, etc..)?

If that is correct, then I guess he could do two things:
1. Bounce off of walls even faster and have a 'faster than light strike'
2. Possibly obtain another devil fruit and suppress it similarly to how Teach does.

Of course, pure speculation... I don't really want Luffy to get another Devil Fruit power, but that might be the 'ultimate power up ssj69' needed to defeat Teach.

It would be cool if he gets this ability after the Biscuit fight. Although Im not sure how making the ground into rubber would help Luffy win the fight. Sucks theres another week off.

Also was thinking about this arc and the overall story and made a short list of things still to be revealed:
- Nami's true family: who were they and how did Nami come to be abandoned?
- Franky's parents: we know they were pirates, but were they well-known?
- Zoro's family
- Luffy's mother

Papa Vinsmoke was a colleage of Vegapunk doing science stuff. As a result of their discoveries, Sanji and all of his brothers were genetically engineered.

And Sanji takes after his mother with the cooking thing. Not much of a surprise there.
