Anyone know how to set up a webcomic website?

Allo, I got hosting and such, I wanna do a webcomic but I have almost 0 experience in making websites, is there anything anyone can reccomend to help me build one? Not interested in hiring someone nor getting anyone else involved into building it, but something like PBF or PA , with a list of previous comics, and a "Previous Next" thinger, etc.

Any help would be appreciated! Tutorial sites, programs reccomended, etc, Thanks.

If you got the hosting worked out, you could you put all files and make 1 html file for each comic.
Example: http://www.sinfest.net
You can of course go fancy and use CSS, and PHP / Javascript to automate certain stuff.

1 html for each image is faster to setup, just more tedious since you have to edit and copy the file each day.

well it's going to be mine personally, but I don't miind adding viggles ones when she wants them submitted.

I was planning on doinng the whole 1 HTML a day, but in this day and age things should be more automated

Well off the top of my head you could make a PHP script that creates the generic file with the comic, and use
http://de3.php.net/manual/en/function.glob.php to find the previous and next and latest comics.

This of course depends on how you name your files.

For this approach you would only need a single PHP file which input is the name of the image you want to display, everything else is calculated on the fly (well duh).

All you have to do is customize the look of everything. And of course make the comics.

You may already visit it, but check out Natalie Dee and her husband's webcomic site, it's really basic, but super awesome at the same time, the search feature is really nice. They are pretty cool people too, I would like to think they would respond to an email if you have questions on how their site is setup. They seem to make their living doing this.

I'm stuck in this same boat with my music website. I have no idea how to make it look nice and professional (my stepmother is a website designer and offered to do it for free but she's crazy busy and busy being lazy). If anyone has any magic links for that it'd be nice.
