Getting my copy at midnight. I'm going to try all 4 controller options just for the experience, but the Gamecube controller will be my primary choice.

Prolly gonna try Nunchuk option first but if that doesn't work, Gcube > Wiimote
Gcube FTW.
Nunchuck+Wiimote. It wasn't that bad when I used it during the tournament and it's been a good while since I last played Melee so I bet the gcube controller would feel about just as weird as the nunchuck did today.
I've heard good things about the Wii+Chuck combo, and I'd really like to break the mold and hold my arms a bit more naturally when playing twitch games like this.
Playing with gcube controller, but I plan on working on the wiimote+nunchuck, it'd be nice because my couch is really far from my tv and I don't have an extension wire for the gcube controller (and yes, I am probably too cheap to get one).
If you're going to get an ext wire, why not just buy a Wavebird?Originally Posted by Quixotic

Do the Wavebird receivers fit on the top of the Wii? I could've sworn that I heard they didn't fit.Originally Posted by Tonko

@Tonko: I saw a few at my Gamestop used, but I can see how they're hard to get. If you don't mind waiting a few weeks (and hell, you've waited about the 7month postpone of brawl) you can buy one off Ebay.
the only gripe i had w/ the wavebird and melee was the fact that the controller LAGGED, and that slight lag that it had affected my gameplay completely. But in the wavebird didn't lag at all, i played normally on my LCD. Wish i had a wavebird, but i'm happy and sticking to my normal gcube controller.
GCN controller or get out
After a week of using it and getting a controller grip for it, I might stick to classic controller since analog shield is out of the game.
I'm using classic because my brother had a gift card and bought them with the game. Liking it so far.
Using wiimote+nunchuck because I couldn't find a wavebird, and I'm liking it for the most part. B button is still a bit weird for me but I imagine I'll adapt.
trying wiimote+nunchuk, might give classic controller a whirl and see how i like it
Gamecube/Classic.
Wiimote + Ninchuck still felt unnatural, after I tested it a while.
I'll try all of them, but I get the feeling I'll be sticking with a gc controller.
