windower 3.3 priority.dll trojan? (FALSE POSITIVE)

Today, after AVG anti-virus updated its database I get this...
    windower 3.3\plugins\Priority.dll Trojan horse BackDoor.Agent.RBJ

I remember when Norton used to complain about Macromedia Flash... false positives have always been an issue when trying to be safe. I just thought I'd ask.. what's up?

admin: This is a false positive, it is not a trojan

You know it's not a trojan...why even post accusing it?

My fiancee got this same warning this morning when she logged on. Was kinda curious about it myself.

    Re: windower 3.3 priority.dll trojan?

Just got the same notice. I did a scan yesterday and last night before bed and nothing. It seems to have appeared after AVG's latest update. So far it only seems to be inside the zip folder and nowhere else.

Not to sure if this is a issue or not. Its happened in the past. But Windowers site is down. So I think I will delete and play it safe. An by delete I mean fix the infected file and then remove the zip folder.

He's asking about a possitive match found by AVG which you can easily reproduce yourself (i just did) and which is NOT documented in the official windower 3.3 wiki-style website as a false possitive. So this is a perfectly valid question.

Do some of you get the kicks out of belittling people?

All i can tell about this is i get the same possitive with AVG too and that you should post in the official windower forums about it so that, if it's a known false possitive, it's at least posted in the wiki they have.

Can't blame anyone for being overly cautious. What with the thousands of accounts being hacked due to a slue of issues.

QFT: Always better to err on the side of caution (like not giving out your account info to anyone, including Jesus.)

Although I doubt it's really a trojan, and I think the heuristics of AVG probably just noticed something in the file that is "questionable," better to post it now and let people know it's happening, than to simply ignore it until it's too late.

    Re: windower 3.3 priority.dll trojan?

I have always had priority.dll in my plugins and use it. I also use AVG which updates everyday. Can osmeone who came up with it as a trojan tell me (unless it has been deleted) the date it was last modified?

Thanks for posting this. I was freaking out when I saw AVG said I had a trojan. Being the computer dum dum I am I quickly changed my passwords on ps2 and deleted windower folder. With people getting there accounts hacked I've been paranoid. At least now I dont have to reformat my laptop.

It's probably just an issue with AVG, Comodo & Spybot don't show any results after scanning.

Happened with F-secure as well, didn't think to jot down the details, just killed it.

AVG found it inside the Zip itself, not in any of the folders that were extracted. Also for me there was no modification stated when it was discovered.

False positive, it isnt a trojan, I havent found any use for the plugin anymore though, so I dont use it.

It was made quickly as a hacked together fix for the priority problem square released

This is the correct issue with this plugin, and this thread is being locked so you can all stop being douche bags to each other.
