Guitar Hero for DS? More likely than you think!

Apparently the previously mentioned portable port is actually happening! The DS version should be out by summer and have over 20 songs.. it looks kinda crazy, but it'll be awesome to have on trips! Watch the commercial further down to see what it looks like in action

If the song selection/difficulty hasn't dumbed down (4 buttons max may have a slight impact on that), I'll actually consider purchasing that....

Didn't expect them to peripheralize the thing at all.
(I assumed they'd have went with making you hold the face buttons/d-pad while awkwardly strumming the touch screen with a stylus)

This looks very expensive. Not sure I'm going to get the same enjoyment without actually getting to hold something that looks like a guitar, and where I have to hold my old-style DS upright and rather still like that with the frets mounted for additional weight for extended periods of time. Wrist RSI, anybody?

I love portable gaming and everything, but this does take quite a bit away from the fun of playing GH.

I do it accidentally with normal games that don't require both hands (usually holding it and just using stylus). Also I don't think I'm going to buy another GH made by Activision.

Did anyone pick this up yet? It's really short, so I wouldn't suggest it unless you're a die hard GH person.

Looks fun & got good reviews. My only [minor] concern is the level of difficulty and how well it scales since replayability will be the biggest thing about this. If the diff difficulty modes aren't that much harder (w/only 4 keys) then I don't think it will be worth it unless, like the above poster said, your a GH junky

I breezed through it pretty quickly, only having real problems with the last couple of songs since holding it like that is kinda hard to get used to.
