    Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

Anybody here getting this? It comes out in a couple of days I believe, blackcats already has the US version up if you have access to that.

I beat the japanese version with the help of a website that roughly translated all the cutscenes, but obviously it's nothing like experiencing the english version.. really looking forward to playing it.

I expected Wild Arms XF to suck but I am enjoying it so much. Love how battles feel more like puzzles at times.

What he said. XF is absolute crack. I'll probably be getting Crisis Core 2 or so weeks after release, depending on how long it takes me to blow thru XF

I'm trying to decrypt it to get rid of some of the useless junk (end credits, update folder so far), and compressed it to CSO. Regular size was about 1.7 gigs and managed to trim it down to 1.1 gigs. I guess I can convert the fmv's to reduce the size, yes I have it. ;o

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

I've decided I will wait until I can buy the game used. It won't be rare enough nor enjoyable enough (for me) to warrant purchasing it on release day.

That and I have five games I'm picking up in the next few weeks anyhow...

Why should he? FF7 is overrated this LOLFF7 fits it well.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

This game is lol compared to Wild Arms XF. Like others have said, I wasn't expecting much, but wow, XF is so freaking awesome. =x

I was kinda expecting like a cliche 20hour S/RPG that just had the wild arms name tacked on, but boy was I wrong. (idk how to compare it with other Wild Arms though, as I'm sure it's very different >.> WA1-5 are on my to-do list and I mainly picked this game up to try and get myself into the series)

But of course, Wild Arms XF is going to be completely overshadowed by other games, especially with this game coming out now. The bad ratings IGNorant reviewers are giving aren't helping much either. shame =/

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

XF got low to average reviews from 90% of the sites that reviewed it.
IGN has been pretty true to me for most games I've played that they reviewed, I'd probably trust them on this one too
I wish I listened to them about No More Heroes...

Have you actually played the game? It's not like, GREAT, but it's a very solid title.

Yes, I played the Japanese version for a bit and thought it to be nothing special.

I got way too much stuff piled up waiting to be played, but I might eventually play it sometime in the future. I really don't care for the original FF7 so I don't really see much reason to play this though >_>

edit: and 90% of reviewers are retarded

There's a new thing out by DA that lets you use the whole 8 gigs now.

and lol@the person thinking that not caring for ff7 and thinking that most reviewers are retarded have something in common, try again

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

I was half joking, but FFVII is one of my fave RPGs (and I'm not a fan boy lol).

Did you play it when it was newly released?
Because that's when it had the most impact.
