People who play on Xbox with Multiple Accounts

So, I have a couple different accounts I want to have access too on the Xbox version. But I only have 2 gamertags with Xbox Live enabled. One is linked to my main character (Which I plan on keeping that way, don't want to change that) but the other one is linked to a LS mule that I don't always use but is linked to my other gamertag. So I deleted the LS mule from the Members list on POL main screen, but whenever I go to add another character, it says the gamertag is still linked to the LS mule.

My question is:

Is there any way to unlink gamertags from accounts?

Not that i'm aware of, pretty sure when you originally linked the accounts....... it tells you that they cannot be unlinked.

Swapping your gamertags to other 360's may unlink them as well, I seem to recall being prompted to re-link my gamertag to my account when I bought a new 360 and transferred my gamertags over, this might let you plop a silver account onto one of them.

This is correct.

Billing info, Address, CC info, all that jazz and they will unlink it.

Hope you are original owner of the account or u don't have a chance in hell. I had to call in for my friend who plays on my old account he took over.

When my original 360 died I bought a new one and linked my account to a different tag on accident(or more accurately my brother did). I always assumed the link is tied to the xbox or the ffxi install in some way cause I haven't had any issues with having a different name.

Before signing your gamertag in, go to your list of gamertags and it'll give you the option to 'Recover Gamertag' or 'Create New Gamertag'.

So does that mean you can link an ID to a silver gamertag whenever you want? My friend that I gave my account to can't get online with my account using his gamertag.

Need info to unlink gamertags. Tried doing it with my mule (not the original owner) and they gave me a hassle. After a while they let me do it, but the account is probably flagged for RMT, and they said straight out that I'll never be allowed to change the info without the reg codes again.

Edit: realized the OP was a month old. Your friend needs your gamertag to log in. Accounts can only be accessed with the gamertag that they are currently linked to.

You have to make a silver account.

I've tried unlinking my old account from my gamertag, the SE rep just told me he can't do it and to make a silver account.
Sucks, yeah... but it worked.

or you can buy PC version and log in to an account using that. my friend plays on xbox and occasionally asks me to log on for him to do stuff. i cant use my own 360 to do this, so i just log into my account on my 360 while i take care of whatever he needs on my PC.

in a related matter, if you wish to log on to your account using a friend's xbox, you need to first recover your gamertag. doesnt take too long. your gamertag will then exist on your friend's xbox (allowing you to log in as if you were at home) until you recover it from a different xbox. upon returning to your own xbox, you will have to recover your gamertag again.
