OK NOOB WARRIOR QUESTION

I've been xping my warrior with my old LS that surprisingly welcomed me with open arms and I have access to a scorpion harness+1 in the LS bank. I don't wanna farm gil to get a haubergeon so it's the next best thing at 60 right?

You can use Haubergeon forever and it'll still always be really good. You won't regret it.

"WAR in a SH" is usually prefaced with "wtf, a..", while "Haubergeon" will be prefaced by "well at least he's wearing a.." in case the rest of your gear is awful.

So really, the SH will make even stellar gear look worse, while the Haubergeon will make mediocre gear look better.

If anyone can provide illustrated evidence to the contrary, I welcome it, but really, the OP's question has been answered.

No, a SH will not do if you don't have a Haubergeon.

Go out and farm the 230-325k to get a Haubergeon. Go old-school, even at 325k it's only 39 stacks of tiger teeth. There is no damn excuse to be lazy about an essential piece of gear for any DD job that can wear it.
