Eh, i'll take it. Notes are from update in playonline viewer, loading recast crashes FFXI now.

You couldn't check properly the TP of your automaton ; so it could WS with the wrong manoeuver or wrong skillchain etc .. There was an issue too were you could target the automaton right after deactivating. You would target it's green name one second then it would disappear. It happened for me in mount zayolm soloing wamouracampa and puddings.

Perhaps they aren't full of shit, and the patch DID screw with recast timers, which is why recast broke in the first place.

Has anyone tried using the previous version?

The recast issue is that when you zone and right after you zone, if you hit your /recast macro right away, it would add some weird numbers (though not random) after the recast timers. It wasn't just a one time glitch either, I did it consistently. But I just checked it now and that seemed to have gone away with the patch, so I'd think that's the issue about what they're talking about.
