    ToAU Beastman King Items

    One thing that has bugged me for while now is the existence of the ToAU kings. They require the coordination of an HNMls to beat but have drops that mostly suck (outside of besieged...hahahaha). They are at levels of suck below even hydra. Hydra at least seems misguided. I can't find anything that makes these guys worthwhile...

    What I'm wondering is this: Do the beastman items they drop desynth into anything decent? What do they desynth into? Does anyone know?

    For all I know they could desynth into multiple imp wootz ingot. Somebody solve this, please

    Someone(I think it was Ryko) desynthed Gulool's item into some AU ingot, but not Imp. Wootz. So yeah, they're pretty useless.

    As said they pretty much desynth into stuff not even worth the fight.
    I'd say these are pretty much NM's you fight for "fun".
    (Of course unless you want their besieged stuff, then by all means have fun in besieged.)

    Gulool drops a nice MDB ring for Aegis PLDs, I want one but motivating LS to go for it is kinda eh <_<

    Sadly the HQ is more than likely not a Kraken Club, and even an Imp. Wootz Ingot might not be worth the headache of rallying support, compiling a strat, and executing it, but it would seem that it has to be something decent in order to be placed in the loot pool. Shame that these mobs have next to 0 value when they could be made into worthwhile HNMs.

    Probably Desynths into the item that stops AV 2 hours an Regen... "It'll blow your minds"

    Just create weapons that mimic the powers of the Beastmen Kings (Gulools Unique Swords proc wind, Gurfys H2H occasionally blocks/absorbs magic and Medusa's Kaman occasionally proc a petrify) toss in some Imp Wootz/Cerb Hides/Star Sapphires and BAM you've kicked it up a notch >.>;

    Not to mention you need to farm items to enter those arenas, you'd have to either camp the door with mules or poshack - perfect way for GMs to set up a sting operation.

    Still need to cross the zone, cross true sight and beat the mob.

    A Step up from the kings, In the case of Gurfurlur its a long walk, Mamook makes you tango with True Sight and Arrapago will surely get people killed from flayers/TS merrows in the pathway to the gate.

    Gulool loves his Mijin Gakure too.

    We tried these a few months ago and they really weren't as hard as everyone thinks. Gulool is by far the hardest and we beat him with 13 people. Troll was a joke, although the adds were harder to kite due to his arena and we never got around to beating Medusa but she was a complete joke to tank, just stand out of range and let her /range attack you. I actually solo tanked her like this after the other PLD/NIN d/c'd. Medusa's adds are a little hard but you can focus on keeping the person up for those until they run out of MP and then kill Medusa.(she was a joke but we tried 3x and the same person kept fucking up and resting and getting hate on the adds, we had a pld/blu aggro+supertank them, called it a night after the third fuck up)

    Gulool took a few tries and trips to figure out for us but we beat Gurfurlur on the one trip we took, think it took 2-3 attempts to figure out how to kite, ended up having the melees kill 2-4 pops below that were in the way every 16m. It's prolly possible to kill them all with 12, though 13-15 is prolly a better number.

    They really aren't that bad to get to either, everyone always bitches about the work to get to them and shit and after having killed them, it's not so bad. Once you get the routine down, it's pretty easy to run through the zones and kill them.

    I've done two of these, and I thought the fights were pretty fun, regardless of the questionable rewards. The JaJa breastplate does desynth into Imp.Wootz Ingot. Don't know the synth rate of those, was just glad I didn't break it at the time. I think its a nice change of pace, and new titles for those of us that collect them.

    I really support the idea that all ToA HNM's the beastmen NM's and hydra, Cerberus, Khimara should drop Imp. Wootz Ingots. This would make them more desirable to kill and make upgrading salvage body more affordable.

    That's about an hour's worth time of fighting them to get outlotted by 18 other people. Half probably want salvage body half wanting gil, mining is so much easier lol.
