Ok so my roommate is a little bitch

Well my roommate ninjad his network name and his network name from me for no apparent reason. He just heard someone ask me for my wireless (his is better i was a dumbass and got a shitty linksys and brawl lags like fuck with it). Anyway someone asked me for my network thing and i told him no while my roommate is in the room. So he must have heard this changed his network name and his key and changed the network name to our room number. If he thinks im randomly not gonna figure out since hes letting me connect and suddenly it doesnt work when it always worked then he must be stupider than i thought. Anyway he has a Mac and i know theres a way to get his wireless network key because i've seen him do it before. Anyone here know how to get a network key from a mac using the computer?

Your roommate is really being a bitch. Was he your friend before you moved in together because I've found friends before rooming together rarely works and usually ends in these awkward situations. Like my first roommate in college, we like stopped talking halfway through the semester lol, like one day I got back from class and he'd taken his 360 from my TV and "given it to his brother."

Just talk to him, break that awkward roommate ice, that's the best advice, don't just betray his trust and steal the key or whatever, try your best because after all he can really fuck with you if he decides to since he lives with you while you're sleeping.

I believe that Macs store the password "keychain" confidentially. So your SOL. However I'm no pro, so I might be wrong. I don't believe there is a back door and couldn't find my own password in the past ten minutes I just spent digging around. The best solution is to sit down and talk to him. Going on to his cpu to break into his network isn't going to make a situation of trust any better.

Ugh, how I wish I'd at least been given the chance to at least maybe become friends with my roommates. I hate them both. If this is the worst thing you have to deal with then feel grateful. My one roommate has posted "regulations" on every piece of operable technology in our apartment listing the do's and don'ts for each appliance. He also keeps track, in a file on his computer, which of us has done what chores and prints off a weekly chore progress chart and tapes it to the wall in the kitchen so we all know who should be doing chores THIS week (even though me and my other roommate have explicitly told him we do our own dishes, so we clean only what we dirty.)

He also has no problem knocking on my door and waking me up at 3AM to let me know he just got done loading the dishwasher for "the second time in a row, and it's pissing me off, so try not to make me do it 3 times..." even though he knows I clean all of the dishes I dirty by hand.

I would move out, but it would cost me 250 bucks, and I've already complained to the people that run the place and they said that since all he is doing is being a "slight" annoyance they can't ask him to leave since he hasn't done anything technically wrong. -_-;;;

Redirect all his webpages to goatse, limit his bandwidth to 2kb/s, block his favorite pages, with some scripting you can even invert all the images on any webpage he visits.... the possibilities are limitless!

And if you don't want him on your router... you could always you know, MAC filter the router, and bam only you can connect to it. Takes about 5 seconds.
