Question about POL/FFXI Friendslist

Hi, I have someone which is on my friendslist which I dont want anymore, since they use my area status on friendlist to see if something pops we are killing, or when our LS is at an HNM. I was wondering, if I delete them through POL. Will they not be able to see me anymore on the game or Online at all?

friendslist doesent need to be refreshed by spamming the chatlog, that person can just leave their friendslist window open and see in realtime where you are/zoning/etc. anyways that isint my main question lol...

When you delete someone from your friends list, you no longer show up on their friends list anymore. It's as if they never friended you. (you're permanently "Offline" to them)

I didn't think this was true, since one of my friends went to a different server, deleted their entire friend list including myself, and I was still able to see that they had moved..

Don't know about that situation, but I've tested it before on people-- it definitely makes you permanently "invisible" to them. Not sure what happened in your case.

On that note, what exactly is the difference between in-game blist and POL ignore?

Ignore list makes it so you don't see them, they don't see you, can't send you msgs, or vice versa on POL. But you can still talk to them ingame and see their chat.

Blacklist only makes it so you don't see their chat.
