    Adjustment and Additions to Fellows (05/15/2008)

    Adjustments and additions to fellows have been scheduled for the next version update. Here is a preview of some of the items currently under development.

    - A new limit break quest will be added, making it possible to increase your adventuring fellow's level cap to 70. There are currently no plans to increase the level cap to 75. However, the possibility will be considered should the need arise.

    - Extra fellow personalities will be added.

    - It will become possible to summon fellows in certain areas of past Vana'diel. Please note, though, that fellows cannot be summoned while marked with an Allied Tag.

    Seriously though, the 250 WSs and being in the past & such will be nice to have, but you can't help but notice they totally skipped the East.

    Letting them to go the past is ok, but not letting them in campaign is pretty awesome.

    This isn't so much disappointing as I just really wanted job adjustments, this new campaign thing, or the chocobo adjustments which might finally make the good.

    Oh well, only 2 more weeks of this.

    LV70 and more areas = win

    I cant count the numbers of time fellow saved my ass, or made farming easier/faster. Giving her more mp, hp and time out is definitively a good thing.


    And people bitching that fellow are useless can go die somewhere. Fellows bring a lot more than most situational gears will ever bring you.

    And before anyone goes emo, this is only the 4th announcement (I guess 5th if you count the myriad arms of Balrahn) and the middle announcements are never the big ones.

    Also... Not to raise anyone's hopes or anything but I noticed in this picture:

    I suppose this means that i should get off my ass and actually take my npc past genkai 1. If the healing magic goes decently i can duo alot of NM with my npc.

    I could swear I read some interview where they came right out and said they'd bring NPCs to ToAU before they let them in the past.

    Either way, it'll be fun leveling them again.

    I love my NPC rly - just not at the expense of "real" endgame content and events. Nyzul Weapons gave this update nagging immunity tho unles the process is complete fail.

    I'm like most in this thread, excited about the level cap change on NPCs. But I'm kinda sad we're excited over NPC adjustments. Q_Q

    It doesn't imply anything like that. If anything, it simply implies that SE just didn't bother with it.
