    Question 1: (and only)

    Many people love killing HNM. HNM contribute to the atmosphere of a Final Fantasy game - doesn´t every FF player like bosses?. Often players will go "Have you seen this? It looks amazing!" or "Our LS killed a big Dragon yesterday - it was very exciting!"

    Do you plan to fill up the past areas with more of them? There should be at least 1 new HNM every update now that there is a 3 month waiting time, dont you think so, too ?

    Question 1
    When players lose their network connection during campaign, they lose all experience and allied notes they would have gained. Frequently, players arrive at a campaign destination only to find campaign just ended. Many players avoid dungeon campaigns altogether since NPCs will not teleport you there. Are there plans to improve these issues?

    Question 2
    Black mages have been asking for item consolidation to ease inventory constraints. They would like 1 'rainbow obi' to replace the 8 elemental obis and 1 staff to replace the 8 elemental HQ staves. Likewise, it has been suggested to merge the torques and level 35 earrings that enhance single magic skills into fewer items, using the pattern of the merciful, altruistic and astute capes.

    Instead, the last update has given the mage jobs 8 elemental grips. What was the development team's thinking behind this innovation?

    Question 3
    Are there any plans to move the item Herald's Gaiters to an existing or newly created KS99 and give Tiamat a rare/ex version of the same item? This would kill two birds with one stone- give the KS99 system a much needed boost, and reduce the monopolization of Tiamat by RMTs or RMT-like groups.

    Question 1
    What is the reason for the staggering number of Alexandrites (50,000) required for the Balrahn weapon quest? The Assault, Einherjar and Nyzul Isle portions present a worthy challenge, in addition to the various Aht Urhgan NMs, but the Salvage portion alone demands a far greater investment of time than even Dynamis relic weapons. Alexandrite drops are limited to machinery-type monsters and the items appear only in denominations of 1. Dynamis currency, by contrast, drops from hundreds of targets in Dynamis and the items appear in denominations of 1, 100 and 10,000. This disparity looks like a mistake.
    Quoting Almalexia here as this really ought to be asked. I highly doubt SE will go and "fix" this issue unless they're reminded or told how ridiculous the Alexandrite requirement is. It would probably help to mention how much easier it is to collect dynamis currency compared to Alexandrite too and how much dynamis relics actually need in comparison.
    Question 2
    With the last two expansions for Final Fantasy 11 new jobs have been added that have added more variety to the game. Are there plans to keep adding new jobs with each future expansion to help expand on choices available to players?

    Can't think of anything else to ask at the moment so I'll leave it with two questions.

    Question 1
    Currently, it appears that it is more and more difficult to find parties at lower levels due. Seeing as now that much of the player population now has several different jobs across several different level ranges, it is often hard to simply pick one to level and guess which one will be able to get an invite or put a party together. A multi-job search function would be a great feature to help remedy this issue. Would you consider implementing this?

    Question 2
    While the addition of several higher level sets of armor have been added to NPC storage lists have been very helpful, there are still other sets such as those used for Harvesting/Excavation/Logging/Mining, Fishing, and Chocobo gear sets that would be very useful to many players to store as well. Guild specific items (those from GP) would be handy to store as well. Would this be a possibility?

    Question 3
    For certain items such as the Ridill, Defending Ring, Agol and Hauticlare, there is only one bottlenecked source in which to have a chance of obtaining items. While abjurations, black belt items and even certain crafting items from these monsters are now available elsewhere (such as ZNM and Einherjar), these sought after items still have only one source. Would you consider adding these items to treasure pools of other events such as Einherjar or ZNMs?

    Question 4
    Currently, very little is known about the Pandemonieum Warden. From intial attempts it seems that the method of killing his summoned lamps and then the Warden is the current way to go. As of now, it appears this method can work, but take quite a very, very long time. Are we doing the fight as intended or is there something else that we should be on the lookout for other strategies?

    Question 5
    The AV video was anxiously awaited and then, frankly, led to utlimate disappointment to many. While a way to break the regen of AV was reveiled, the cryptic use of 2-hour abilities by the players in the video still remains a mystery. We have been told "everything we need to know is in the movie"; however, the community is running out of resources and the will to try and test any additional theories due to the nature of AV's popping conditions. Would there be any possibilities of supplimental "hint" movies or an uncut verision of the original video? We realize the later would be quite the long movie, but the community has yet to see or have described to them a full AV fight in any way, shape or form and such a release would be graciously appreciated by us all.

    Question 1
    It was stated at one point that the current relic weapons would receive an update. Just to re-emphasize: As they stand right now, a good majority of them are extremely lack-luster and the weaponskills granted are weak compared to alternatives, down to what could be considered a math error in some cases (Kaiten consistantly does a fracton of the damage any other weaponskill does on high defense monsters).

    Question 2
    Dynamis is rotting, getting attendance is hard, as the incentives are outdated situational gear, and currency for weapons that are maginally better than free/easy to attain alternatives. Are there any plans to spice up Dynamis?

    Question 3
    More of a suggestion/pipe dream: With the indroduction of the Zeni Notorious monster system (Thank you by the way), could you possibly add a similar system that utilizes crafting? I ask because you guys did an awesome job at breathing life into Pankraiton; maybe you could do the same with crafting.

    Question 4
    Please... Add the inverse to the crafting rings added in the June patch! +HQ% with a higher chance at break or something. (We'd all be willing to dump mamoth amounts of GP into that)

    Question 1:
    What happened to the idea of player-created dungeons? That seemed like an interesting thing to play with and a great way to keep the playerbase keeping one another busy making and playing with our own content while waiting for big patches.

    Question 2:
    Sometimes it is just literally impossible to find enough availible monsters to gain experience points effectively; and players fight over the popular camps and go to greath lengths to pull and claim as many monsters at once as possible in a concious effort to deny neighboring players of a chance to gain EXP. Is there any hope of instanced leveling areas? If not in WotG then even in the remote future?

    Question 3
    You've stated that Odin has a much greater population than other servers. And we suffer for it. NMs in Sky, Sea, and everywhere else are more hotly contested. The price of Zeni NMs will abruptly skyrocket and not be left to diminish in price because of the sheer number of people present. And EXP camps will be overpacked on a literally constant basis. Would you please consider having Odin taken off the list of destinations for server transfer or do something to help our influx of players?

    Question 4:
    Currently endgame activities provided by WotG is limited to Sandworm; which is only able to be engaged by one group during any given spawn cycle. Will WotG eventually give us anything to do on par with Salvage or Einherjar to keep us busy? Campaign battles simply don't provide enough substance and Campaign Ops are shallow and devoid of gameplay.

    Question 5
    Will the ZNM system be expanded in the future? Or will Pandemonium Warden forever be the final hurdle to overcome as far as that content goes?

    My only question :

    Despite being Nvidia supported, Nvidia cards are horrible with this game. ATI cards can perform better, but that's not saying much as both cards can barely run at a full 30 fps.
    Many other MMOs have graphical updates after a few years, while FFXI is the only game that despite moving forward in time, does not get better with new technology. Is there any plans to address this issue? We as a playerbase were very happy to learn that WotG would introduce DX9 support , then it was dropped for no reason and left many players dissapointed that they can play a game like HalfLife2 at a full resolution, with better graphics, AA AF etc at full FPS, but cannot run a 5 year old game with any of those options checked.

    I think this is an important question, because there's no reason not to support a game that many people still play, but can't play alongside their other games at full FPS without changing drivers to do so which is very wtf.

    Question1:
    The Fellow system is a great addition to the ffxi world, only once the fun gets started with your fellow they leave. So my question do you plan on adding any type of quests or items that allow you to extend your time with your fellow?

    Question2:
    Often times for certain jobs and during certain timezones it can be rather hard to find a party. Many times a whole day of playtime can pass while seek is up without an invite. Campaign is a decent filler for this time, but for players under 60 it can be painful to do campaign with minimum exp rewards. Have you ever considered adding an NCP who rents out there services and lets you recruit two other NPC who will level with you. This system would work in a way similar to the current NCP fellow system.

    Step 1
    - do a quest for a npc figures out what type of NPC you would like (DD, Healer, Tank)
    - do a quest for an npc get an item that summons the NPC
    Step 2
    - do a quest for a npc figures out what type of NPC you would like (DD, Healer, Tank)

    You are only allowed to have 2 npcs so you form a 3 person party.
    The npcs start out at your level from when you complete the quest
    you would have to complete certain quests with your NPC party in order to get them past the level caps.

    The benefits would be it would allow cretin jobs and people who play at certain times to have a some what of an effective party.
    Since the max would only be a 3 person party many camps that are used by parties would not be over crowed. It would also open up many areas that are currently abandoned by the player base to be used again.
    One of the greatest benefits is that it would open up the game more to newer players who can find the party system some what annoying and different then what they have currently been use to.


    i guess it's more of a suggestion... but w/e

    Question 1:

    My Salvage LS has now officially killed Hammerblow Majanun in Silver Sea Remnants 100 times and we got 1 drop. We also killed Citadel Chelonian in the same zone about 70 times and got 1 drop. That's 100 runs for getting 2 drops. A total number of 150.000 assault points per person. We spend 20 hours of pure playtime to get these assault points and 167hours in Silver Sea Remnants to get these 2 drops.

    We have 4 more people wanting both drops in our groups, which means we will spend almost 800 hours in Silver Sea Remnants to make everyone happy.

    Is there any specific reason why the droprate in Silver Sea Remnants is only a 10th of the droprate in other Salvage zones? Is there any plan to change that? The frustration among the playerbase is very high.

    Question 1:

    Equipment selection is very vast in this game but the problem lies in maintaining said equipments. Yes we have NPC storage systems, mog locker, mog safe and storage but in all honesty it is more of an inconvenience than anything. The PS2 limitations is a poor excuse to hold back all the great features you could impliment to this still very thriving mmo. When do you plan on providing more item/inventory storage that doesn't require us to have our stuff spread out amongst 6 different sources, even if it's only for 360/PS3/PC players?


    Question 2:

    As many people have mentioned, there is little incentive to go back to doing stuff such as Sky Gods and Dynamis. The ratio of new players is slim so it does make it difficult to rally up troops to tackle this age old events. Are there any plans to offer incentives to veteran players to go back and assist with older events? Perhaps new abjuration/equipement/items from Sky?

    Question 3:

    Sea was a great addition to the game when it originally came out, yet I believe it never really got the true respect it deserves. Like many others, it is a bit of a slap in the face to expect us to farm pop item "A" to spawn monster "B" yet monster "B" does not have a 100% drop rate to pop monster "C", etc. This is a very big time sink, equipement not being 100% is understandable, but please look into addressing this with more of a Sky like approach for trigger items.

    Question 4:

    Crafting seems like a dying/dead trend. The cost of taking a craft to 100 is tremendous even in todays economy. Are there any plans on releasing newer 95-100 crafts that doesn't require is to obtain insanely rare items to finish our crusade's to our craft of our choice?

    Question 5:

    We as the player base understand that this game is to make profit for your company. But with all of the content you've added to the game, you have isolated alot of the fanbase. Why doesn't anyone do halfof the things in this game anymore? Because 99% of the "events" that have been created are nothing more than enormous timesinks that do not offer a proper set of rewards.

    This ties back into trigger popped mobs not dropping specific items 100% of the time. If you want the players to be more involved with stuff you need to start giving them more of an incentive and be more understanding that we all have lives outside of this game, and as much as we love this game, we can't spend a 15 hours doing something over and over again with out people burning out. Hell, look at Absolute Virtue. No one cares anymore.

    Many players like to adjust their currently equiped gear on the fly, however the current system only allows one gear change per macro line; as such un-official software is often used to make it convient to the players. The current system of /equip SLOT ITEM is somewhat redundant except for the ring,ear,weapon slots. A series of command such as
    • /equip1 "main weapon" "sub" "ranged" "ammo"
    • /equip2 "head" "neck" "ear1" "ear2"

    With more and more events to be able to do these days, Is there any plans to shorten the required time for older events, thus allowing people to better allocate their precious time and possibly revive some of the dead/dying events? Examples include: sky/sea trigger dropping NMs repop times, HNM repop times, etc

    Question 5
    How come after a server update/restart the drop rate on items seems slightly better but then quickly returns to the horribly low drop rates?

    Is there any plans to add new Weapon Skills to the game?

    And I don't mean from the relics, I mean new WSs in general. Most of the people playing FFXI have been using the same 1-2 WSs for 4+ years.

    Maybe even make them available via Merit Points. Also possibly boost WS damage, ACC, etc. via Merits.

    may we please have "official" updated dat files for armor, weapons, & character animations for PC. Armor is recycled too much, would like more variety. Also, as a tarutaru I weild every 2-handed weapon the same way, and most (not all) weapon skill animations are the same swings with a pretty light. Good opportunity for community contests to design armor and animations.
    question two
    Do you plan on following other MMO's direction when it comes to PVP? Ex: WoW's alterac valley, arathi basin, eye of the storm, etc.; weapons and armor sets as incentives; inter-server queues.

    When will there be a new way to update the game other than though the playonline viewer? Many updates have gone by with people sitting there to download an update for 8+ hours simply due to network congestion.
    are there any plans to implement a bittorrent client perhaps? or download Installer like updates from Fileplanet, etc?

    Question 2:
    When Can We Expect to see changes in the present from our actions in the past, as stated in a previous interview?

    Question 3:
    The New Crafting Items to help crafting to 60 and to help reduce breaks are great ideas, however crafting has become less and less profitable unless you flood the auction house with a large quantity of an item like RMTs do, or you get very lucky and make a higher tier HQ Item. Are there any plans to help those of us who spent time and money getting our crafts to 100?

    Question 4:
    Lately the game has been suffering a severe lack of tank jobs across the board, before this it was healers. the new WoTG jobs helped the healer situation only to create a new lack of tanks situation. whereas the paladin buffs helped alot of paladins higher level, it did not help those of us who are trying to level a lower job (37 or under). Campaign is a nice alternative and is good to get small amounts of exp between parties, but is far from a solution. Is there any plan to remedy this?

    Question 5:
    Overload seems to be less of a balancing point for the Puppetmaster Job, is it possible to remove it or have something similar to the Corsair Bust Penalty where it disallows 1 maneuver slot for X amount of time? perhaps 2 minutes since the average maneuver lasts for about 1?

    Any chance of a new "Mog Locker" for WotG? Can even tie it to Campaign Ranks too if you want, expires in 30 days w/o evaluation, and the higher you go the more space you get. 30 spaces for Ribbon, 40 for stars, etc.


    Question 2

    Expand the armor storage npc to hold more types of armor, and if possible make it like the event item storer. Meaning if someone only had say one AF+1 item, they could store it w/o having the entire AF+1 set.

    After several years of ffxi being out it gets very tedious having to go through play online viewer then into full screen every single time you want to log in or have been disconnected, will there be any chance of adding an option to just go straight to character selection screen or go through play online instead of having to click through several slow screens every single time

    1. Make a Ballista system with points like Einherjar so you can EARN some good stuff, not Ballistaxx items. Points per petra or something.
    2. Agree strongly with NPC to store BS and KS and take out orbs as and when you want them.
    3. Xarc drop rates, and CoP and Beau and Tav!
    4. Tier3 being harder than Odin is a bit suck, not saying t3 is always too hard but sometimes it's a bit harsh and could be made slightly easier for smaller/wealer ls.

    Question 1
    Are there any plans to adjust the exp given for healing and curing status effects in Campaign? A lot of players have complained that they do not get healed by others, because WHM, RDM and other jobs can get the best exp by meleeing instead of healing people and resting MP. This is possibly because resting MP takes a long time and there is no exp reward for it, could an adjustment be made so that MP heals faster in a campaign battle?


    Question 2
    Many players in FFXI also play World of Warcraft, which has a strong PvP element. Although FFXI's main game world is based on co-operation and teamwork, are there any plans to introduce instanced PvP, either solo or team-based, in areas like Diorama Abjhalis-Ghelsba with equippable rewards? This would be a great incentive for players to do Diorama more and would add variety for those who don't have time to do more time-intensive FFXI events.

    Question 3
    Are there any plans to make Nyzul armour (Goliard/Askar/Denali) sets storable? Additionally, are there increased storage options planned for WotG like there were with Treasures of Aht Uhrgan?

    Question 4
    Nyzul Isle has many great rewards, however if one does it regularly it's not possible to earn enough assault points to do Salvage also. Could a small amount of Assault Points be awarded for clearing 5 floors in Nyzul, since we also get rank up points for this?

    Question 5
    The Zeni Notorious Monster system is extremely popular, as I'm sure the developers know. Are there any plans to extend this system to allow us to fight monsters like Fafnir, Nidhogg and King Behemoth? Even if they took twice as long to get to as Pandemonium Warden, I'm sure this would be a great success. Although some items from these monsters are available in Einherjar, many linkshells simply do not have enough members to consistently clear their way to Odin, and would therefore welcome an alternative route.

    This is more like a suggestion more than a question, anways, implemting a new comand /dual that can help with PvP issue, even more, u can use /dual against other Part leader on even alliance leader.

    Question 2
    When SCH merits going to see the light? is SCH going to be the new Magic attack/ Healing /Enhancing job?

    Question 3
    Allow to convert dynamis coins for a certain item/quest as a conversion fees.

    Question 4
    More and more Avatars! Final Fantacy is known with so many avatars only 9 wont cut it!

    Question 5
    (This some kind of new or even odd question/suggestion but w/e ) Add to PLD (or war if u want to add new tank) new JA thats allows him to use dual shiels like dual weapons, and while this JA active force the monster to lock his attacks only on the tank. and make the duration of this JA like "hasso" where it lasts longer than the recast timer
