NPC WOTG Access, Limit Break and new "Fellow Point" system

Yes NPC does exist next to Nyzul rellics and new NM system!


WoTG Access:

If you go to the Sauromugue Champaign (S) maw and use it, you get a cs that unlocks your npc to let you use them in the past.


Limit Break:

Talk to Luto for a CS where your NPC recieves 15 mil gil to tease you. He/She then challeges you to a fight in the FeiJin BC area.

PLD75/WHM37

Won first try, NPC spammed tier 1 elemental spells (including Banish II) and poked for an average of 50~80 dmg.
Used Invincible around 50%, then started to spam enfeebling magic, and WS'd more often. (Savage Blade around 30%)
NPC gave up around 20-25%. Used Coeurl Sub, got enough defense lol.

Fighting NIN/DNC:

The fight is 10 minute cap

In my fight her ACC was supreme. She did not miss a SINGLE hit. Was wasting her time on Ninjutsu debuffs while hitting for around 70s. All of a sudden she casted FLASH. She mijin around 30%. I noticed her HP is really low and it should be a quick fight usually.

Now that you beat your NPC she was gonna "work twice as hard to beat you!" and the cap was raised to 70.



New BRD in Ru´lude:

There is a new BRD in Ru´lude who wants to hear stories of you and your NPC. He said to exchange items and rewards for the stories you bring him for "fellow points". To "activate" him you need to speak to luto - twice if you also have the limit quest.

Fellowpoints are retroactive! I had 59k instantly after talking to him for my 65 NPC

So I guess the NPC armor thing explains why my NPC didn´t want to change around anymore. It now seems to be done by those points you get. Overall a really nice update! Now to find hwo you can get wotg access. Going to do the fight now.

The limit break was, in all honesty, semi tough for me as war/dnc going in unprepared (ie no food, no defender, and no reraise). I figured it was just Tsuim, the soothing healer npc. Turns out she was really buff as hell and was using dual katanas and casting ninja magic the whole fight (despite her having a Gkatana I gave her). Blade: Teki and To did upwards of 350 per attack and around 25% or so she Mijined me for 687 damage leaving me with 24 hp. Managed to get one last waltz in and at around 20% she just gave up. Was still a pretty fun fight regardless.

The rewards you can purchase *might* vary a little. I didn't have the option for the manuals (although I do own all three), and I don't recall seeing Memoirs for sale. I only got 200 points when I talked to the Bard, too, but then again, I've used my NPC sparingly since I capped him ages ago.

The patch where SE changed the "Armor Requirements for NPC" they may have silently introduced a system to keep track of points. I leveled my NPC lots AFTER that update.

Nevermind. I misread the Memoirs bit. I thought YOU received the scroll, but I see now the exp would really be applied to your NPC. Since my NPC was capped, scroll wouldn't be an option like the Manuals, I'm guessing.

also i got 4k in fellow points despite having a 65 npc.

I didn't think the fight was difficult at all. I went as SMN because that was what I was using the night before and had it all geared up. My NPC decided to be a great sword BST with a crab pet. Her crab did 40-50 damage to Fenrir, and she did 50-60 a hit when she wasn't spamming teir I nukes. I took two hits the whole fight and both were teir I spells that stoneskin absorbed. It was a lot like SMN Maat, only a lot easier.

I think the points must have been added fairly recently too. I use my NPC once a week or more usually, and despite my NPC being level 61 I had more points (29.5k points) than all the people in my LS that had level 65 NPCs for ages and hardly used them.

My healer type suddenly had a sanguine sword and shield and was /nin. I went on blu/nin. She was pro/shelling herself, as well as casting utsu,flash,cure4 and a few nin enfeebles. I couldn't land silence the one time I tried and plauge kept having no effect. Headbutt worked great and acc down did as well. She did invincible near the end but it didn't really matter for a blu that much.
