Bayonetta.
How have I not played this game up until now? It's so ridiculous and insane it's quickly becoming one of my favorite games~
Other than the brains missions, did the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned with a friend tonight in Borderlands. Pretty fun. The Scooby Doo recordings were great to.
I just realized devil survivor 2 is out :D :D :D
Just finished Skyward Sword after a hell of a long break. I said before that I was annoyed at the constant directional guard some enemies had, but a few enemies later on changed that a bit and with the true master sword enemies flinch even when you hit their guard, letting the next strike land for a combo. I wish this was the case at all times except with bosses/mini-bosses.
Speaking of which, I loved just about every boss in this game EXCEPT The Imprisoned. That was just annoying. Silent Realms were also pretty annoying too, but they make up for it by being absolutely terrifying at some points. Cannot tell you the amount of shit that was in my pants when I fucked up AFTER getting the last tear and running back towards the circle crying like a little girl not to fail.
Last boss was fun but disappointing, they could have done at least 1 more phase (and have less logic fail but whatever) because the set up for the fight was great. Would have liked to see more awesome skyward strike elements and gimmicks for that. In general, motion controls make boss battles/notable encounters a lot more fun, but the tedious stuff is still tedious. Still not sure if I want for the next Zelda, but if they can tighten up the swings and combat design I think it'll be great.
Also, fucking Zelda and the rule of 3, seriously textbook design there.
Next up, finishing Xenoblade and Uncharted 3.
Oh, I should probably set my wii up. Twilight Princess (never finished), Skyward sword (never finished lulz), Xenoblade, and Arc rise fantasia (never finished :<)
Oh snap, forgot about Arc Rise Fantasia. I should check that out as well. Last Story is out here but I haven't heard amazing things so I dunno if I'll pick that up. Might download it just to check out game play though.
Gulkeeva may like Lime Odyssey
slutty mc' slut
I can't stop playing Realm of the Mad God.
Free-to-play, SmashTV/Gauntlet-style, MMORPG/Shooter/bullethell/etc., permanent character death/low level cap~

Playing FFIV on vita lol
Mostly waiting for Motorstorm RC tuesday
Rule of 3rds as in just a hub and three temples like the DS Zeldas? I need to grab me a new nunchuk so I can fucking play the thing proper, only finished the first temple before I got fed up with nunchuk-disconnected messages.
I only consider it the best because I can just auto-battle through the scrubby mobs, or abuse it to make the ATB gauge recharge faster. Makes the early bits of the game less a drag for FF4 veterans.
Been interested in this ever since I became aware of it with the Steam release. Is the ping-rate in general good? When I hear bullet hell I'm assuming to get some cheap deaths because my connection skipped for a second.
For some reason I've been playing a lot of THUG2 on my PSP, years after I bought it at launch. I remember being impressed with it way back. Essentially one of the first full handheld console experiences I've played that was a no-compromise situation, came complete with all the content, the majority of the music, and had new locations for this release to boot. Only thing that took a hit was the texture quality in a couple locations, but that's nitpicking with the screen's shit resolution covering most of it up anyway.
The latency is frickin' great, actually. I have maybe a single hiccup per hour or two, so it hasn't been a problem at all. I have got hit once in a while during these half-second hiccups, but it was never really as big of deal as it might be assumed. It's not so much like a top-scrolling-bullet-hell-japanese-shooter-with-crazy-patterns-to-impossibly-follow-or-you-die game, it's difficult to avoid all damage since it tends to come from different directions from different enemies, you'll use a lot of health potions (or cure ability) in normal play.
Just think of a very fast-paced diablo/gauntlet/smash-tv hybrid where everyone and everything shoots various projectiles.
Also, you get 100 "coins" when you start, as a way to lure you into cash-shopping more coins, which can only be spent on aesthetics like recoloring/renaming your character, buying multiple character save slots, and pointless pets to follow you. However, the "fame" is a currency that is only accumulated by earning it during a character's life span, which is then added to your total when that character dies. Thus you won't really be able to buy much in the way of fame until you've had a few high-level characters die. Luckily they restricted the cash shop shit to purely vanity items.
(the most addicting thing about it is unlocking new classes)
Continuing my MegaTen marathon, beat DDS1 and finished up DeSU OC, currently playing Devil Summoner (Soulless Army) and DeSU 2, it's a good deal harder so far.
Hopefully it's not blatantly apparent as that'll make the game drag on very slowly for me.
Also, someone shoot me. 86 hours into FFXIII and I still haven't achieved my platinum, nor a single trap drop. Already exhausted all other content in the game, 5*'d every mission except for the ring of missions (to prevent Long Gui spawn), only thing left is......more turtles.
Still playing FFXIII-2 since my PS3 died a couple weeks ago.
Anyway, I was curious, how long are the games Bioshock and Borderlands? They're both games I have that I haven't played yet(got them recently 'cause of all the hype around the upcoming sequels), but Tales of Graces f is almost out and I'd prefer something short after I platinum FFXIII-2. That way I can start playing Tales right when I get it.
Bioshock isn't that long, but it's been a while since I played it. I think I finished it in about 7-8 hours, but there's a little re-playability to it so that should help.
Borderlands will last you quite a long time. Even going through the story (solo) straight until the end should run you maybe 20 hours or more. Definitely longer if you play around with friends and do all the extra stuff (playing with other people feels like a necessity to have fun, because it's awesome). Actually, I think 20 hours is rather low, I know I played it for a hell of a lot longer than that.
Nice. Thanks.
I think I'll do Bioshock first then, 'cause Borderlands on 2-player definitely sounds awesome and I know me and my friend are gonna want to play around a lot.
Borderlands is definitely, 100% playable by yourself and you'll have a ton of fun, but adding a co-op partner just makes that game go from awesome to incredibly amazing. One of the most pure-fun games I've played in a long, long time. My co-op partner and I put way more than 20 hours into it, but I think that's a fair estimation to how much you would have to play for the platinum, at least.
