    I'm going to Canada.

Toronto, to be specific. I want to go to the hockey hall of fame, but what else is there to do around there? (where to go, where not to go) I also want to bring my laptop with me, but I remember reading that crap that they can confiscate it at the border, anything I should be sure to clean off of it? inb4cp

    South Park.

Take the one road to the CN Tower and downtown Toronto. Also if your going in late August, go to Caribana. Sexiest time of the year.

CN tower is fun. last time I was there I was stuck with some shitty weather but still got some incredible views. I dunno the name of the downtown/artsy area, but it it had lots of cool shops and restaurants. I smoked a joint with a distant family member in the middle of the day before lunch and nobody cared. I heard an awful rumor that the Movenpick (some crazy ass restraurant that has EVERYTHING) closed, if its open, check it out...because it's awesome. basically a giant cafeteria with every kind of food imaginable. like I think I'll have some pizza, and then cause I'm still hungry I'll have some freshly shucked oysters.

and yeah, HHOF is awesome. I took endless amounts of pics when I was there. but remember, dont touch the cup, its bad luck to touch the cup before you win it yourself

I haven't been to Toronto since I was pretty young, but I do remember the CN tower was neat. At least the ride up was, I'm pretty sure it was a glass elevator which is frightening and traumatic when you're 4 and going up it >_>

Maybe try to catch a Toronto Argonauts football game? See how it's different from NFL football. There's Much Music and MTV Canada that you can check out. I'm sure there's a bunch of other neat things over there.

As for the CFL, I actually really like it. Longer field, 3 downs as opposed to 4. So it's not as glamorous as the NFL and stuff, it's still entertaining. Besides, going to a football game is mostly about drinking anyway.

You should make sure your laptop does not have any illegal software or data before crossing the border BOTH WAYS, because they're starting to make a policy of pawing through your shit.

Will they know if it has like legit serials? my ms office, photoshop, audition, premiere, and a bunch of games are using legit serials, I just didn't buy them(from friends, etc or torrents) I have 3ds max on here but I'll remove that for sure as no normal person would have that. I'm also gonna delete all my temp stuff, suspicious bookmarks, cache, some aim convos, idk how far to take this haha. I've never been across the border so are they likely to actually turn it on and go through all my folders? what's the extent to which they go through my junk, out of curiosity if anyone knows.

Thanks for the advice on places to go, that restaurant sounds awesome so I'll def look into that, can't wait to go to the tower :D I Hear the top floor can hold a bunch of elephants or something, the website told me so.

Born/lived in Toronto for the first 6 years of my life and have gone back countless times to visit family after I moved away. As others have said, the obvious attractions are the CN Tower and the HHOF. Make sure you visit Yonge Street, it's Canada's version of Times Square. There's also Wonderland, which is like a HUGE ASS Six Flags/mini-Disneyworld... it's a bit out from the city core though. Otherwise just make good use of the heavy Italian population there and go to all the good little restaurants.

And stay off the 401 (hah, nevermind, you don't have a choice).

I would definitely second the suggestion to see a CFL game. Also HHOF and Canada's Wonderland are awesome.

Does Canada have its own Imagination song that you have to sing to get there?

Double fixed. Give Poutine a try, it's actually pretty tasty. I recommend the Poutine from A&W myself, although, KFC isn't too bad either.

Poutine is orgasmic. My girlfriend is from Montreal so when she moved down here she made it for me a few times. Insanely bad for you, but compared to fast food or w/e, it's pretty damn decent. Fries, gravy, cheese curds (easy to find in the deli area of most grocery stores), and lotsa' black pepper. Rawr, it's good. I want some now.

    Re: I'm going to Canada.

I live in Toronto, and have been there my entire life. When are you going exactly?

    CN tower is great
    Canada's Wonderland
    Hockey Hall of Fame
Blue Jays ($8 tickets for decent seats, if you like baseball)
Toronto Rock (you may not like Lacrosse but they put on one hell of a show)

Also try to catch a concert at Massey Hall if you can because its just such a great concert hall. Eaton Centre, Air Canada Centre, Ontario Place, Toronto Islands are all good.

(will add more in a bit)

The only important activity can be outlined as follows:

    Step 1: get drunk
    Step 2: get high
Step 3: travel to the exhibition grounds by lake shore and find the giant windmill's base.
Step 4: from less than 2 feet away, look up at windmill spinning.
Step 5: don't pass out in awe of this, the spiders might eat you.
