Breaking latents on weapons and for WSNM

I was wondering if anyone has ever gone to sky to break latents on elementals. A friend of mine and I did this over the weekend for him to get Spiral Hell. I went on rdm/nin and he went as drk/sam. We went to genbu island and killed light eles. For the most part I pretty much solo'd them because we were making darkness, and he could just absorb-tp burst and was getting around 75-90 tp per spell.

I've found over the past year helping friends break latents that elementals, maybe not thunder or dark, are really good for breaking latents quickly on because of the lack of tp moves, and their retardedly high damage reduction. Just wanted some thoughts and feed back. Thanks in advance.

I honestly still prefer crabs, they're weak, aspirable, and mowing through more mobs means more XP/seals.

173 and climbing slowly T.T.

The lower cap and fact that I've done A LOT of Campaign in the last few months, which doesn't give parrying skillups, probably is a big factor.

173/220 is kind of like 240/269, that point where anything below DC really craps out on the skillups.

I'll say this, if Campaign did give parry ups, I'd be capped by now most likely, I notice really good proc rate, but it's maddening that much short of steelshells/dyna mobs/sky mobs/random nm's don't gimme those pretty 0.2's and 0.3's anymore.
