Tony Snow gives in to colon cancer at 53.

I know there are a number of us who are not fans of this administration, and I never knew whether or not he believed the bullshit press releases he was touting on whichever day. I certainly liked watching him at press conferences more so than this new person, in any case - they were usually interesting, though not because of the information he was (not) actually giving to the public. I was sad to hear that his cancer had returned last year, despite what I think of his politics, it's not something I'd wish on anyone.

I feel bad for his kids and all; even being prepared for the worst doesn't make it any easier. :/

Yeah, I remember seeing him after chemo and, despite hating 95% of what he said, I kinda felt bad for him

He was a wonderful journalist long before he became White House Press Secretary. Losing both him and Tim Russert in such a short time really makes me sad.

The difference in the length of threads about the two men dying is sad too.

He was just a likable guy by anyone. Never seemed to have his own agenda, just wanted best for the country.

I liked Tony Snow, even before he was the White House press secretary. I know whenever someone dies everyone basically blows sunshine off of he deceased person's ass, but he was a genuinely good and respectable journalist.

    Sad to see him go.
