Gil from Coffers in Dungeons

I had a search and didn't find anything relevant, so I figured I'd make a dicussion thread if there answer isn't crystals clear.

I've noticed that when I'm solo and opening coffers in the higher level areas such as Sky/Kuftal I can occasionally get about 10k for myself.

However if I'm with someone in a duo or even a party, I've noticed that we all seem to recieve this roughly lower than the amount I could've gotten solo. For example, I would get 12k~ in Sky usually, but in a duo we both get about 10k~, effectively doubling the earn nearly.

I was thinking of abusing dual box/spare accounts to all sit in a dungeon with me while I pick coffers to take advantage of this, because I remember in Sky once someone popped a coffer with about 10 of us in the party and we each recieved about 8k. The gain with X characters is NEARLY X times more than I would've got solo.

But I was wondering if anyone know the maths behind it? How it works?

If you are dual boxing there are alot of better ways to make money~
But no I don't know how it works.

I don't think coffer money is static. Perhaps it was just 20k split evenly between both of you as opposed to 12k single last coffer?

Well from my experience coffer money is usually upped to give everyone in the party an equal amount. As for dual-boxing for more money, I doubt 8~10k every 15-30minutes is an effective way of making money.

It's true. Not efficient at all. But it's just something to do on the side while doing X activity. Not using it as a primary way but a little bit of "do it while I'm there" kinda thing, or if I'm skilling up and such.

Thanks for ruining my Sunday morning bst seal farming/coffer gil farming in sky by mentioning sky as a reference. Now I'll have to toss the keys sense coffer campers won't give me time of day to pop coffers. 70% of the time they fail the pick too, waste of my time.

Mage's Ballad 2 only comes from the Zvahl one, dunno about Castle O., but there's RMT there for scrolls 24/7 anyway.

I remember way back in the day, xp'ing in CN off flies and beetles. We would always wait an extra couple minutes before the xp pt broke, to open any CN chests that were nearby so everyone could get 2-4k in gil. Shinies!
