Wikipedia is your friend.
Did and saw this.
So apart from being an owl instead of a Bat.. Nothing? which is why I asked am i missing something?Has technical knowledge and employs several high-tech gadgets and weaponry, notably including a flying/submarine owl shaped ship (that he affectionately refers to as "Archie"). Good fighting prowess
Edit: eh nvm guess its one of those you gotta read the novel to get things.
I'm also noticing in the trailer that the filmmakers have the twin towers in the NYC skyline, an indication that they're not tampering with the firm timeline set in the comic. This is refreshing. Or a sign that the movie's been in production for a really, really, really long time.
Yeah, you're missing the point until you've read it. Basically, and this isn't much of a spoiler:Spoiler: show

This looks like a fantastic adaptation. This has been one of my favorite graphic novels since high school.
HQ Version is back up at the official site

That movie looks awesome. Have to wait so long for it though.
That 10 second clip of Silk Spectre dropping through the ceiling was cooler than anything she actually did in the book.
Edit: Also, Silk Spectre? More like Spandex Spectre.
Night Owl based more on Blue Beetle(Ted Kord?) than Batman. Ozymandias is more Batman than anyone else, though I'm sure he's based on someone else.
Watchmen isn't just Xmen. It's pretty damn deep. I wonder if they'll keep all of the Rorschach's whole storyline is some pretty dark stuff. Like question the existence in god stuff.
One of my favorite stories in Watchmen is the origin of Rorschach. His personal moral code was unbreakable, all the way to the end of the series(don't wanna spoil it). I loved how a little bit of his tale was revealed each time he would talk with the prison psychologist and how it affected the psychologist himself. The jailbreak was awesome too.

Edit: eh nvm guess its one of those you gotta read the novel to get things.Arguably, all the heroes in Watchmen are similar to Batman in some way, since with the exception of Dr. Manhattan, none of them actually have superpowers. They're all "simply" vigilantes, or in the case of most, were, since their activity has been outlawed.Night Owl based more on Blue Beetle(Ted Kord?) than Batman. I embarrassingly just spent a good chunk of my day reading The Watchmen. I'm very surprised to see that "they" thought to make a movie out of it considering the nature of the story.
Why embarrassingly?
5 points to anyone who can name that Smashing Pumpkins song.
The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning from the Batman & Robin movie soundtrack.
99 cents on itunes.
So this is like the first time i've heard of this superhero, can i get a quick summary of this hero? or heroes* ?
