slow internets on my laptop, HALP :(

So, I'm at a relatives house that has really fast roadrunner. Her computer is getting about 900kb/s down, which is great, but my laptop, whether it is wired, wireless or w/e is capping at like 200. I never noticed this before since my internet at my house is satellite and won't go higher than like 90kb/s.

Soooo I know it isn't the router, and it's not the internet, so what do you guys think could be bottle necking my computer like it is? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

What laptop/specification is this?

Although I haven't really heard of any wireless card not being able to exceed 90kb/s download.

the 90kb/s is just because my internet at home can't go any faster. Right now I'm capping at like 180 atm, when my other computer connected to the same router is getting like 900 down. The laptop never used to do this, so it's something that can be changed I'm assuming
