Saw True Detective season 1 on recommendations from another thread and holy shit did it deliver. Matt McConaughey was fucking brilliant throughout the whole show, saw the season was so short but whatever. I should skip season 2 altogether though right? All I hear is it's awful

yes skip season 2 it is horrendous, and this is not in comparison to season 1, this is just as a show on its own merits. season 2 true detective was a complete dumpster fire. fargo season 2 though...

Season 2 is bearable television. At least the acting is generally decent. The writing and story though, oy.

It's just that when put side by side with season 1 it becomes absolute garbage.

Saw this when it was released in theatres, seen it a few times since, and still don't know what to make of it. Still don't know what genre to put it in. It's like they filmed a comedy version, and a serious version, then said fuck it and used whatever footage they had when editing the movie together.

When it started playing the music during the chase/fight scene I fell in love and spent the rest of the movie wondering if this was all on purpose or not.

Saw Allied

Thought it was pretty bland and terrible.

Brad Pitt barely felt like he was in the movie. Marion was more compelling but it was pretty soft all the way around.

Been on a twist thriller kick.

The Intruders. Very cool movie, good twists

The Boy(2016, not 2015(the 2015 The Boy was also a good movie)), has Maggie from Walking dead as the star. Good movie, nice twist.

Pet. Movie with the dude who played Merry in LoTR. Really cool movie with another twist

I don't want to give away some of the good plot details but they were all well worth the watch.
