I'd say District 9 as well. It was a really amusing movie.
-edit-
At last, I have become what I always have wished for, a melee summoner.
Black Dynamite, i will recommend it a 1000 times over it was nonstop laughs but it is also a combo of a lot of 1970s films
The Boat That Rocked
Inglorious Bastards is technically the last good movie I saw (just finished watching it) but I want to say City of God.
Watched Up tonight for the first time; outstanding movie.
Theres finally a link up for Moon at rlslog.net. I know a lot of people have been waiting for it.
I saw Mongol and "The Tournament" after recommendations from this thread. Liked the Tournament.
Mongol seemed choppy to me..... Lots of stuff went unexplained... They'd just show u that he's into some shit, then suddenly jump to after he's out of the shit wth.... the one I saw was like 2 hrs did I get the wrong version or something....?
And not sure if it was in here also, but got the Dance of the Dead from the Zombieland thread and that was a pretty good movie. It's how I think zombie movies should be ;x
Good Burger.
Woot! Finally. Watching now.
I watched Deadgirl last night. Pretty intense stuff.
Ong-Bak, anyone ever heard of this? Tony Jaa is amazing.
Yeah, movie is cool. Tony Ja is on par with Bruce Lee
downloaded the r5 line version and yea, definitely worth it, maybe wait for a version with better audio
Spoiler: show
Very good movie for having only like 5 actors lol.
Somewhat popular movie tbh, I enjoyed it.
Last movie I watched was Public Enemies with Johnny Depp. Wasn't too bad, have to say the ending was disappointing but it was based on a true story. Last GOOD movie I watched would probably be HEAT with Al Pacino and De Niro (no idea why I hadn't seen it yet) and I thought it was pretty good. Loved Val Kilmer's performance.
Damn, thanks for Moon link, will watch it once I get home ;o
Saw Leon the other day w/ the only French actor there is, really good.
Olde but, Sansho the Bailiff, directed by Kenji Mizoguchi. Probably my favorite Feudal Japan movie, have to watch it at least monthly><. I don't watch too many "new" movies to contribute those but at least this is a really good one xD.
also enjoyed Leon, it's sorta like Bangkok Dangerous but switch the deaf chick with a loli Natalie Portman.
