The Departed, came in g/f's dvd of the month club deal and it was fucking good.
Last movie I saw was the new X-files and I wasn't impressed, so I'll post the obligatory Dark Knight mention.
The Departed is an epic film, I seen Shooter last week, I thought that was a really good flick.
Mr. Brooks
The Nines.
About stimulated reality; basically a mind fuck.
The Dark Knight
Last good one I saw was You Don't Mess With the Zohan
watched a movie called Big Nothing the other day, was pretty enjoyable
You hate Zohan, but liked Doomsday? Man... people have some odd tastes.
I thought Doomsday was utter garbage and a blatant rip-off of 28 Days with some Mad-Max added in. But hey, if you like it... more power to you
Dark Knight, Kung Fu Panda, and Mongol would be my recommendations.
Back to the Future. No good movies have come out since then. And if you didn't like BttF...um...Short Circuit?
Children of Men is really good.
Dark Knight hands down also Jumper
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
Dark Knight, even though it's a bit longer than it needs to be. Jumper was decent, but nothing to rush out and pick up. Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay was pretty funny, but nowhere near as funny as the first one. Never Back Down was actually a fairly decent MMA/teenie bopper flick. Some very very well done fight sequences in it.
Death at a Funeral
Saw this a few days ago with my girlfriend, who had watched at the university cinema last fall. The movie's a laugh riot in a very typical British way (ie. playing upon the faults and follies of the characters), and just leaves you feeling good. Alan Tudyk (Firefly/Serenety, and Knocked Up) plays a rather nervous guy who accidentally takes LSD before the funeral - comedy gold and well acted.
Oh yeah, there's a midget too. :D
harold and kumar 2 was pretty funny.
